Having mild guntism means that a certain ingredient in my spicy tendies sauce immediately grabbed my eye when I gave a quick read through the list at a glance...

There's almost no momentum behind the SHORT Act as far as I can tell. There's talk that the Hearing Protection Act might get passed as a cucked version, where instead of suppressors being removed from the NFA, they're just going to remove the $200 tax and keep all the other regulations in place. I hope that's not the case, but Republicans never fail to disappoint when it comes to the 2A.
So the version currently in the BBB is actually tougher than the original as is doesn't only remove them from the NFA and GCA it prohibits states from putting taxes on them or requiring registration.

We'll just have to see how it goes.

Does the Beretta 3032 series still have problems with frames cracking, and does the 30X reboot have the same problem? From what I heard it occurs with a combination of double-action usage and non-specified .32 loads, but I'd like to know beforehand.

I don't know about the 30x but I recently obtained a 3032 Covert and it seems like it is slight beefed up and oddly a bit rough at the same time.

$1900.

I hope they get some spare parts going for purchase especially op rods. Many of the parts on these will be original still apparently.
Heritage Arms
At first I thought it was the same Heritage that sells the cheap .22 revolvers and is now importing Taurus/Rossi guns, but it's Heritage Arms who focus on reproduction parts and precision rifle builds.

$1900 (plus shipping and handling) is crazy. is the CMP managed by Gunbroker resellers now?
Garands weren't cheap to make when they were new. It's a pretty significant undertaking to restart production like this. This is even at that price undercutting resellers. I was just at a gun store they wanted $2300 for what looked like a service or rack grade. an expert grade with a new criterion barrel and stock and reparked parts is iirc $1125? They're running out of receivers it seems like. I'm really happy they're doing this personally.

The amendment removing silencers from the NFA made it through the house and is in its way to the senate.

If you're a person who believes in calling and emailing congress critters, now would be the time. You can also still tell your senator to re add the SHORT amendment to it as well.

Do you guys use eye pro? I don't, never saw the point but if you have some anecdotes to say I should, I would like to hear them.
Funny coincidence - I was testing the Arisaka a picked up this month. While the gun was fine, the bullets from WW2 were apparently corroded, and some boomer fuck just polished off the verdigris before selling them to the milsurp store.

One of them ruptured and gave me the old spicy forehead, If I didn't have glasses, the small hunk of brass I have lodged in my forehead might have sliced up my eye instead.

I'm leaving it in there, just for the humble brag I AM THE LAST MAN CARRYING TOJO BRASS SHRAPNEL FROM WW2 IN MY HEAD!

Bro 1500-2000 is the entry level for a well-made nice rifle or pistol
Maybe if you pay inflated in store prices or if you're including optics into that rifle price. There's absolutely no need to pay that much for a handgun unless you're heavily into competition. You can get a sub moa AR (most people aren't sub moa shooters) for much less than $1500. G$ upper on sale and build out a lower. The hype beast guntuber push that you minimum need to spend thousands of dollars for a reliable rifle and handgun is really getting to me. You can get an optics ready CZ P-10C for $370 right now. Glock tradeins for similar. https://palmettostatearmory.com/cz-p-10-optics-ready-compact-4-9mm-15rd-pistol-fde-91577.html
