What is the point of this. I can't imagine at all who the market is for this when there are 1 trillion AR-style 22s and 22 plinkers for sale and 22 takedown rifles like the Henry AR-7 on the market.

Why is there a proprietary, 1-fucking-round 22lr magazine? Who is this for? What does "designed for the safety of gun enthusiasts" mean? Is this the type of rifle you bring when you are going on a hunting trip with Dick Cheney?

The ZiP 22 at least was compatible with Ruger 10/22 magazines...... This on the other hand, I have no idea what is going on. It's like they asked ChatGPT to design them a gun.

I searched online to try to find more information and I keep seeing "it's designed for kids to teach them to shoot" but that is so fucking retarded and can't possibly be the reason. The M&P 15-22 is $100 cheaper and in the same weight range. There are thousands upon thousands of 22 AR's.

This has to be the ultimate Fudd cash grab. All of the reviews I can find look to be paid advertisments or some type of interview frmo a PR person from their company.
 
GOAT-15 must stand for Gayest Of All Time. I just saw the rifle and thought "looks like yet another .22 AR-15, what's the issue?" Then I read polymer upper, retarded safety (really didn't need to patent that, I promise nobody else wants a safety that requires "strength and dexterity"), and 1 fucking round magazines that they have the nuts to ask $23 a pop for. And this entire piece of shit costs the same as an M&P 15-22. Seriously, a 1 round magazine defeats the whole purpose of a magazine. I'd never want to shoot again if someone tried to show me how to shoot with this thing, you'll spend 90% of the range session loading the "magazine".

I am completely flabbergasted by the 1 round magazine more than anything else. I cannot begin to understand why they thought that would be a product they could sell for $23. Simply incredible.

Yeah. I have both a Colt M4 22lr (which is made by Walther I think) and one of the drop in CMMG conversion kits. The CMMG has some reliability problems but the only reason I own the M4 is because someone gave it to me. I teach people to shoot often enough that its useful but I never would have bought it. Initially I was kind of excited because I thought that it would be easy to suppress but as it turns out most of these 22lr chassis things aren't very ridged. The real barrel is the most pencil of pencil barrels which is sheathed by a fake sleave with an integral flash hider so no easy muzzle device mounting. There is no last round BHO and the fire selector doesn't behave in the same way so its training value is dubious despite the visual mimicry

I'm interest to see what the creator's intended use case for this is because I can't even invent one, and I even thought about small game magazine restrictions and flat range larper magazine swap drills. If I had to guess it's literally just an aid for training magazine loading and insertion? Although you can do that by, you know, just shooting enough. It's like you're meant to give your kid this and 10 rounds and make the absolute most out of the range trip. 10 shots, 10 reloads, 10 magazine loads.

The audacity of some companies to try and reinvent the wheel regarding .22 rifles only to create a total abomination that should've been aborted well before production ramped up. Literally why would anyone pick something like this over the M&P or a decent 10/22 especially with how affordable they can get? Granted I'm a total snob and if I touch a .22 firearm that doesn't cost a working man a kidney I'll violently de-atomize and take out a city block, but if you really want to waste money this badly just get a fucking factory Volquartsen. At least you'll get bragging rights and a good gun based off a proven design, but this? Hell naw.

I think this is for the neofud gen-x/older millennial dad who believes all children should be taught to shoot, but that starting out, should be limited to a single shot .22 for "safety." And the safety is a glorified child lock you'd put on a door. This neofud also believes in the supremacy of the AR15 ergonomics and is some sort of prepper/minuteman larper. Get the little kid reps with an AR15 like platform (~20% smaller dimensionally, ~4lb lighter, no recoil) before moving them up to a modern carbine or hunting rifle when they're older. The niche of a niche of a niche for a guy I just made up, sure he exists though.
