Each state has different wording on charges so it's not 100% but that sounds like he got pinched for production not possession.
Yep, looked it up

Sounds like he either got the victim drunk, or they both got drunk; and then he filmed the abuse.

The problem is people want a dozen guns for these niche applications. Most of the time they don't even shoot them enough to get through the teething process of identifiying problems with the gun itself, much less memorize their holds on that platform.

It means divesting your funds and training instead of gitting gud with a single platform that does damn near everything pretty close to optimal already.

I would never tell anyone to get .300blk because in the long run you just aren't getting much return on your investment of time and money.

I think that's too much sweating the details and tilting at /arg/ level gun collection autism windmills. Holds aren't some major issue for a dedicated home defense gun. If you zero your home defense gun for an in-house range and aim center mass it's going to be a good hit whether you're face to face or at one end of a mcmansion hallway with the bad guy at the other. If you're paranoid about some extremely rare multi-range engagement you can always do some nonstandard but generally foolproof thing like the 36yd 5.56 zero that gained popularity a while back. SHTF scenarios be damned, I don't think everyone needs to train to the point of being competitive with every single gun they own, and neutralizing a home invader is rarely going to involve some sort of pseudo tactical operation at varying ranges.

At least if you are one of those /arg/ autists with some spread of niche application ARs, the home defense SBR, general purpose carbine, 20" SPR, tricked out race gun, goofy pistol, armor defeating AR10, etc, they're all so similar that you won't get tripped up with the manual of arms or typical malfunction clearing procedures.

they all smoke crack I swear!
It's the speculative market.
Currency of all shades is in a bad place at the moment and trying to sell to people who know about them has failed. So the new attempt is to market guns to the post-COVID Zoomer market based upon unit scarcity and "deadstock" which feeds into the marketing they had faced elsewhere by way of FOMO/Fear Of Missing Out.

Just like how the milsurp market turned from comfy brick and mortar shops into e-shop startups that bought a bunch of dime-a-dozen camos that nobody cared about and marketed to those same Zoomers. UCP is the current victim because shysters found out you could buy an entire rifleman kit for under $100 on eBay, but since they market on TikTok they've got better reach to retards who now think GWOT LARPing is in style.

>checks in on /arg/
>topics of the day are furries and indian women
Yeah its autism alright but maybe not the kind I was hoping for.

Of course /arg/ is going to say the answer to everything is an AR-15. But the thing is, with little excpetion they would be right. You only "need" two ARs. An SBR and an SPR. You don't actually need an SPR, so that leaves you with the SBR for 90% of gun related tasks. The last 10% is going to be things like door breaching, full caliber range precision, and anti-material.

My 13.9 with RC2 mini makes me not want any other length AR.

i folded with the RXM and yeah! it's a glock! it's got that trigger pack like a 320 but it won't kill you! the trigger isn't shit! it makes the competing gen 3 clones look like punks. if you want one, get one, if you're a glock boy stick with your glock. how illuminating!

I'm thinking about getting a BRN-180 upper.
Read & watched a lot about them but wondering if anyone here has personal experience with one.
I have the 18" 2nd gen upper, been happy with it and its a reliable tackdriver with standard m193 55gr. I have a Lage folding stock on there right now and its just OK.

@The Dude
Alright I'm getting pretty close to actually committing to buying the Vector. Now's your chance to talk me out of it.

Also they are having a sale on their MagEx2 magazines and conversion kits. code MX40 for 40% off. No idea if that's actually a deal or not.

I really like my Vector so far, though I haven't had a lot of range time with it yet. Haven't had a chance to shoot it since I got the stock mounted to it. I need to buy a riser for the EOTech first before I zero it, which is planned for my next paycheck. I just picked up 350 rounds of 115gr ball to use to zero the optic and give it a decent break in. I have had two or three failures to extract/eject the first time I shot it, but it was just cheap ball ammo, the first time it had ever been fired and was practically right out of the box, and it was being fired as a pistol. I'm hoping next time it won't have the issues now that I've got some grease in it. I'm also going to get some 33rnd GLOCK 18 mags to see if it likes those more than the Vector extended mags.

I do plan on running some +P ammo through it to see if the hotter ammo will mean more reliable extraction and ejection. If after it has been broken in the FTEs go away, I'm hoping to use it as a home defense gun, and it will be loaded with +P hollow point ammo for that purpose.

40% off the Vector mags is a pretty good deal. They're normally like $75 or something like that.

when it’s a battle to keep them from buying garbage like Taurus and PSA.
PSA ARs are consistent mediocrity with an exceptional price point that makes the 2A within reach for even the poorest of poorfags

You aren't cool or special or a-lawgging them, literally every reddit*r has had this opinion. It just makes you gayer than an ARFCOM boomer

you gotta keep the boojee bitches in check. do you want a rifle behind every blade of grass or a larper behind every lawn mower?

Cheap ARs put more semi-automatic rifles in people's hands. Removing the reputation of them as "weapons of war" only "trained" law enforcement and military should have from the public mind. People have grown to view them no different than "grandpa's old hunting rifle". Making it harder for those who seek to disarm us, and harm us, to do so. Which is all that matters at the end of the day.

I don't want people to think anything that isn't an 11.5" might as well be a squirtgun. Its much more about the love of the build and the build process for some then just buying gun -> it shoot good. Put enough love and thought into it you can have a totally viable combat/sporting rifle regardless of its idiosynchrisies. You can also buy an oddball from someone reputable and open it up and be like "Yes finally, the tuned gas port, H2 buffer, midlength gas 13.9" barrel, I've always wanted. Never again shall I suffer a bruised shoulder." It is a specific user demand met by a competent builder.

But you lose the logistical side of things where wide spread data and the world's collective wisdom doesn't apply to your rifle anymore.

Come back and post this when PSA find's their torque wrench and we can nod in agreement. Until then, PSA is fucking based but you should show your support for them by buying their very good(!) ammo and not their very bad ARs.

A 13.9 with a RC2 mini is 0.9” longer than an 11.5 with a RC2. It’s just better for my use case if having a rifle that I can push a little further without having a super long package.

Im running a factory built upper from a reputable company, so function isn’t an issue.

Can you please elaborate on this. What issues are there with PSA-ARs where you wouldn't recommend them to someone.

A shit gun is better than no gun at all. But for most people AR's are toys that they don't need within 72hrs because their husband is getting out of jail and looking for payback. People should be encouraged to wait a little bit for quality if they absolutely can.

I would never trust a PSA with my life - especially when stuff like the M&P15 is about the same money and vastly better quality.

Fuck, I am going to make it a personal mission of mine to reshoot some pictures. A lot of stuff in my gallery would be breadcrumbs to me.

So you'll just have to believe my words until then. Personal experience with PSA, my rifles, my students rifles, my friends rifles:
>No grease under the barrel nut
>No grease in buffertube threads.
>Mistimed buffertubes
>mistimed muzzle devices
>Broken bolts
>over torqued handguard retention screws
>over torqued barrel nuts
>blemished chambers
>poorly chromed barrels
>bent firing pin retention pins
>out of spec firingpins

PSA is not ripping you off. You pay $500 you get $500 worth of AR. Thats what a $500 looks like. You can warranty it. You can fix it. It will shoot out of the box.

BEAR CREEK ARSENAL ON THE OTHER HAND CAN BURN IN HELL FOR SWINDELING AND THIEVERY.

They sell you a shit stick for $500.
