From what I now understand pretty much all striker fired pistols have the same design flaw that was demonstrated in that one video with the guy soyjacking at the Sig. If you depress the trigger even a fractional amount past the wall you can manipulate the slide and cause the striker to trip.

My read on the situation is that the trigger and slide test thing is a red herring, or at least a turn down the wrong path. I genuinely don't see any way this is something that could have happened with any old striker gun. Personally with two old Glocks I was unable to replicate it at all, not enough slide movement, too much sear engagement.

I don't know what goober movie this is, but it shows that Brivvish people can't even be trusted with props: the woman manages to visibly jam her pistol twice in this scene (timelinked):
The most egregious thing about that scene was the ridiculous tire squeal sound effect laid over a giant Peugeot van very gradually accelerating. I get that guns are scary black magic to some people, but everybody knows how cars behave.

The editor clearly forgot to speed up the picture to match what the foley guy did.

The discussion has changed to there being the possibility of debris getting stuck on the surface of the sear which could limit engagement with the striker toe.
What the last screw-in-trigger "test", where the trigger was just held to the wall and not moving the sear, told me is SIG may not have been correct in saying that the striker safety lever requires a full trigger pull to be defeated. So it gives credence to the idea that the sear, which is essentially exposed to the elements and has no clearance for debris to go otherwise, may be the most at fault in the equation.

If we are talking about the reason why the 320s were going off, yeah that seems pretty probable.

I was curious and tried to reproduce it on my pistol too. I also couldn't get it to go off with slide manipulation but I could get it to the point where I could feel the slide rocking back and forth in my trigger finger which was a new sensation. That was as close to the break as I could manage with just my finger. Too lazy to go out and get tools.

where the trigger was just held to the wall and not moving the sear

I thought it was said that it was like 1mm past the wall?
Yeah he goes to the wall and goes 1mm past it. That is moving the sear at that point.

Gentlemen

I come bearing gifts. The Greensboro History Museum staff were kind enough to take some pictures of the Lisk Machine Gun and the wooden mock up that they have. I am allowed to share these images on the condition that I give them credit. If any of you guys want to help me contact Ian, be my guest. A video on this one-of-a-kind gun would be perfect.

We're basically an open concept museum for weird people who post their horrific and/or entertaining antics on the internet, so we've got a lot in common.

Did the no fun police haul away our four legged burglar, or did the home owner get a new rug?

Oh boy... Hope you didn't tell them what website, or you said facebook, or some boomer shit like that.

Guys can I get some advice on overcoming the fear of AIWB carry with no manual safety. I’m looking at a Walther PDP or M&P Shield and it seems barely any striker fired pistols have manual safeties. I don’t even want a manual safety. Is it true as long as I get a good holster and anything except a P320 i’m fine?
My M18 and M17 P320 Sigs both have manual safeties. Uncle Sam demanded them.

If the game warden thought it might have been diseased it would be sent to a lab. otherwise, at least in my neck of the woods, they'd probably leave it for the homeowner to deal with. its a very cut and dry case with video so he shouldn't get in any trouble.

The meat might be eligible for donation to hunters for the hungry but I don't know if they take bear or not.

Got paid, so I got the optic riser for my Vector ordered. Decided to go with a Kinetic Development Group Sidelock riser. I've got KDG Sidelock mounts for the Comp M4 on my MWS308 and the US Optics LPVO on my Mk14 Mod0 and really like them. Probably going to order a couple of GLOCK 18 mags as well. After that I'm going to start saving for a rimfire suppressor and either a Ruger Mark IV Tactical, or a 10/22 Charger Takedown. If I go with the Charger, you know your Dude is going to SBR that shit and get either a binary trigger group, or an FRT if one comes out for the 10/22.
