Considering how much a good 2011 costs for a design invented over 100 years ago, $5200 for an extremely innovative new gun from a small company is a fair price (and that price also includes a Pelican case, Trijicon SRO, and 5 magazines so the actual gun is probably "only" $4k).
Lol I just made up the five grand price tag, is it actually that much? I am not saying that it isn't innovative; it's neat and I like people pushing the envelope in terms of design, but I just could not justify such an obscene pricetag for a handgun. I would struggle to justify that for a rifle. If you can swing it and genuinely want it, help yourself, but it's definitely not for me.
The Antithesis has made me wonder why there arent more prominent Jews within the gun sphere. Not to mention pistol braces and FRTs, listening to the Franklin Arms talking head might as well have fucking Hava Nagila ramping up in volume in the background with its amount of blatant word-of-the-law Jewry involved
Firearms is a risky, competitive industry with low profit margins, which is basically Jewish kryptonite. Might as well get into something safer and more lucrative like law or finance if you wish to heeb out.

I'm looking to build some sort of gun wall in my basement. Right now all my guns are in bags and cases laying against the wall. Gonna frame up a quick wall and cover it in plywood. I want to get some sort of hooks for my guns. I see these online https://hammy3dprints.com/products/...un-holder-storage-rack?variant=44407909318870 and I like that but to be honest i'd rather buy a 3D printer and work out how to use it myself. I have some strange stuff that i'd want to design mounts for that I don't see anywhere to buy. But, before I get to design my own does anyone know where I can find files to print like in the link?

Do we have any 3D printer experts in here? Microcenter has the Creality Ender-3 V3, is that a decent printer?

That "Design" would take about 5 minutes. Maybe 10. Easiest way is to just search "1911 wall mount stl" without the quotes and see what pops up.

And then you'll have to design it yourself anyway since everyone else always does it wrong and you want it done right. For whatever version of right you want.

ammo shipping
Yeah this is a huge factor when buying ammo. Your example seems decent if you buy a good chunk of ammo once a quarter or so.

I wish ammoseek would automatically estimate what the real CPR is for their results. The little rating thing they have is better than nothing.

how so I go about even making that design?

Go to guncadindex.com and search for wall mounts and you'll find lots of files mostly hosted on odysee. I have a bambu labs a1 because I need my hand held with such tech but it works great so far. A friend had a Creality Ender-3 that he said worked fine but he sold it and upgraded to a bigger model because of the stuff he wanted to print. Most useful thing I've done with the printer so far is a 1913 rail attached buffer tube. Needed some sanding but it cost either a few cents or the cost of the printer depending on how you view such things and the store bought version was 80 something.

You think the bambu labs is easier to use? The less time I gotta spend learning how to to do this the better. I got too many hobbies as it is.

What software should I use to model?

Most people use Fusion 360, there's a free version for hobby use.
There's plenty of free, semi-free and paid options.
I use OpenSCAD, which uses a programming language.
Something like this would be a start.
Code:
$fn = 36;
difference() {
union() {
translate([3,0,0]) cube([37,40,10]);
hull() {
translate([0,5,0])
    cube([12,30,45]);
translate([2,0,0])
    cube([8,40,40]);
    }

translate([30,0,0])
    cube([10,40,40]);
};
for (i=[15,25]) {
translate([-0.1,20,i])
    union() {
    translate([30,0,0])
    rotate([0,90,0])
        cylinder(r=1.6,h=35);

    rotate([0,90,0])
        cylinder(r=3,h=31);
   }
}
   };

I wouldn't recommend Bambu, unless you figure out how to de-China and de-Cloud the software running on it.

I got mine a few months before that particular scandal unless there's a newer one I missed.
Well, they still use Chinese software and Chinese cloud services, right? Like I said, if you can turn all that crap off then sure, it's probably fine, I know OrcaSlicer supports them.
My newer model Creality I've got on Ethernet behind a Pi that allows no outbound connections and I've been able to go in and disable most of the Creality crap so even if it had an Internet connection it shouldn't share or do anything, annoyingly there's not a full opensource build, but it's mostly just Klipper. Looks like you can run some more open software on some of the Bambu printers at least. https://github.com/X1Plus/X1Plus

(And yes, I should have gotten a Prusa, or maybe a Voron)

I first got involved in 3d printing close to 20 years ago in a corporate prototype shop. Have had a home machines for the last 10-15.

I would get a Bambu A1 over an Ender in all honesty. And if you have the spare cash I would get an Bambu X1C if you ever see yourself running engineering filaments like Nylon for printed firearms. Their software and hardware completely changed the consumer printer market for a reason. The Bambu X1C is amazingly close to the $500,000 Stratasys machines I used to work on. I think the China fear is overblown and there are off-ramps software wise.

There are plenty of places for files recommended here like guncadindex.com and printables.com

To make your own designs I would learn Fusion 360 (free for hobbyists). Coming from corporate software like Siemens NX, it does 99% of what I need it to do.

-Start off watching youtube videos on making simple primitive shapes like rectangles etc.
-You can then use that knowledge to making other shapes to "cut" from that rectangle.

CAD at is core is essentially about making 2D drawings/sketches that you give thickness. Then making other sketches on that object to make subtractions from it.

Last year I bought a P1S after taking a hiatus from printing where I started with a Ender-3. I agree with getting a Bambu A1 or if you have money a X1C and air-gapping it the best you can. When I started with the ender 3 and it felt like a constant loop of repairing or upgrading it so that it could perform the way I wanted it to and leveling the bed was a constant chore. The P1S was ALMOST plug and play, a screw was loose on one of the axis's and that was throwing a code which took me almost an hour to figure out. The out of box print quality will beat the Ender 3.

Thanks, the Bambu A1 is at 350 which is probably at the upper limit of what I'm willing to blow on this without knowing if this hobby is for me.

Can the bamboo run off line? Like take a SD card and load files up? I hate dealing with tech.

Also @HelpingNoone , for some reason the reply button is grayed out on your post. Just wanna say thanks for the info. Can a normalie like me figure out how to airgap the A1? I don't like the idea of gook tech on my network.

Weird, I have also been casually learning about CAD stuff in order to 3D print gun hanging hardware. This is all great information.

Thanks for the info, I'm a 4chan k out and o refugee. Trying to get back to a comfy place talking about guns and other hobbies without getting BBC porn spammed at me like on 4chan.

I do want to get into printing these mounts. My gun and gear storage is a nightmare right now. Just in bags and whatnot laying on the floor

I know we all hate Sig here but I got question and can't seem to find a straight answer: suppose someone had a .40 cal 226 with the short extractor and wanted to put a 9mm barrel in it's place do they need a specific 9mm conversion barrel from say bar-sto or could they use a garden variety barrel from a dedicated 9mm 226? I ask because I've gotten mixed signals when it comes to the older .40 models with the long extractor and how it won't properly extract 9mm brass.

Yep, they even show on the official Bambu tutorials how to put your machine in LAN only mode.

The main reason I recommend Bambu machines is that I have probably spent a couple hundred hours tinkering with machines like the Ender, Prusa, etc. over the years.
I have around 10,000 hours on my Bambu printers so far and have only spent maybe 8-10 hours total doing maintenance or anything.

If you want to tinker and make the machine your hobby, the Ender will work fine. I'm over it personally and just want to print firearms, parts, & tooling/fixtures for machining.

I believe you lol.
Yeah Stratasys is one of the OG patent goblins. Everything from removable print beds, camera monitoring, purge towers, spools with NFC chips. They are the biggest reason the technology hasn't progressed faster. If they are successful in going after Bambu it's gonna impact basically every modern manufacturer. Bambu is taking a huge chunk of their corporate business which is why they probably chose them like they had with FormLabs.
