An old advertisement perfectly worded to appeal to people who would want a G3 MG.

I recently got a CC9 to replace my Hellcat 3" for concealed carry. Put a dot on it and realized I might just not be a fan of optics over irons. I'll probably put it back on after another one or two thousand rounds and try again though.

Absolutely love the pistol itself.

I wish someone made receivers for these. I've got an aborted CETME C that I've considered doing this to but the only way to build one is to max out your Dremel ninja ability and splice one into a regular flat. They're still relatively cheap because they're a PITA to build. Unfortunately, some of the kits that come in are missing the receiver chunks too so you don't really have a nice reference for the dimensions. If I can't work up the courage it'll probably get turned into a Half Life style HK-51.

Someone told me a Glock 19 as a hand gun suggestion. You guys have any other suggestions for a first time hand gun?
I ended up getting a Glock 17 handgun this week. I went to a local gun shop to see what model would fit my hands the best, And the 17 seemed to be the one. I got it same day once the background check went through. It’s the 17 round mag variant, which means I’m not limited to 10 rounds like other states. I’mma head to the range this weekend and test it out.

Glork 19x might have been the sweet spot.
Grip length of the 17 combined with the slide of a 19.
If I ever get another glork it would be the 48.

19 is a pretty sweet one. I've got one tricked out (vented slide, etc...) . Daily carry though is a 33. Good old pocket rocket. Easy to hide an packs a NASTY punch, but you'll find really quickly it's best to get a .40 barrel for it and swap out for the range. .357 Sig gets expensive QUICK!

Silly combo, I thought the appeal of the 19 was that it was easier to conceal mostly because the grip was smaller, even if only by about half an inch.

Iirc the Black Lotus 3D printer guys have a reference model of the HK21 on Odysee. You could open that up in CAD, isolate the receiver and the weldments and then draw up your own blueprint for where to splice that in to a regular receiver. Should probably measure off the cocking tube side or perhaps even the trunnion. Beltfeds are really cool and I've been hoping one of the 3D2A guys would whip one up. A Ciener style Biden's Bane upper would be pretty cool to see.

anyone got any recommendations for an ar upper/build kit for a super safety setup? already have a stripped lower laying around.

was thinking the super safety might deserve something a bit nicer then my poverty pony/psa guns.
was just going to put together the lower, but it would be all lonely without an upper to leave on it.
also taking buffer /spring recommendations.

Yeah while I was waiting for the background check to go through. I saw the coyote 19x they had in the case. Maybe later on I’ll get a 19x, because I do plan on buying more firearms

I've been running a red right hand upper on a full auto lower, and I haven't had any issues with it as long as it's kept clean and lubricated. I imagine that it would work pretty well with a super safety.

Starting to build a collection of 10/22 mags for my F22. All the mags I have now that have a higher capacity than 10rnds are from the 80s and 90s and have plastic feed lips. Like I've got an old Ram-Line and I think a Butler Creek. I ordered one of these from an outfit called HC Mags. It's a 25rnd mag with metal feed lips, but they also use a stripper clip system to quickly reload them. You can do it to ways: you can either remove the back of the mag, which is made from one of the stripper clips, and replace it with a second loaded stripper clip, or you can use the stripper clip to load the rounds into a slot on the side/rear of the mag. They look like high quality mags, and they're only like $36 for a mag plus and extra stripper clip. You can buy additional stripper clips, and they even offer a stripper clip loading block.

I am trying to take training with firearms and combat more seriously than just exercise and target shooting. I am here asking to be spoonfed on a couple of things to get me started, if anyone is feeling generous:

-I have a couple of old and heavy RMA level 4 plates and a generic vest, but I want to upgrade to something that wasn't bought for a Halloween costume. Do you guys have some good resources to read up on plates/carriers and how to set them up?

-I found a decent private range in a city a couple of hours away that I can get training at, but do you guys know of any supplemental resources online that you would recommend as a starting point while I plan out whole weekends around those trainings?

-Where to get good first aid kits, or at least a good list of what your first aid kit should contain? I have my first aid and CPR so I know some basics, but I need a stop the bleed class still. Any other medical training/equipment you recommend?

-Any general advice for getting serious about combat training? What have you done to take your training more seriously and not just mag dump into piles of garbage?

I always treated this like a hobby that I might need at some point, but nowadays I really don't know. 2020 was a big eye opener about how fast shit can go sideways, which is why I started carrying to begin with and what got me into guns in general, but I don't think things will stop with a few assassinations and riots here and there, at the rate things are going. I would like to try to be more prepared, should the worst come to pass. Thank you to anyone who is willing to share their thoughts and resources.

Kinda neat, but I don't know how much a fan I am of open sides on a magazine. It's for a 10/22 so it's not a huge deal either way, but it seems like a somewhat fragile solution to loading the mags that probably doesn't fix (and maybe exacerbates) my real issue with higher capacity 10/22 mags, which is their dodgy reliability.

I'd be very interested in hearing how they work for you when you get a chance to try them out.

Something very interesting (but probably not accurate) from a Russian art museum. The piece depicts North Korean soldiers during the Kursk operation with the North Korean OICW Equivalent and a Helical mag equipped North Korean AK-74

There is no imagery confirming either of those firearms being present in the Kursk Battle Zone, because if there was it would be plastered everywhere

That's actually a pretty neat use for a Angstadt Vanquish (which, when you think about it is both the simplest suppressor ever made and the greatest absurdity in suppressor regulation). I've never actually been able to see a photo of town a d's under those handguards, is that actually similar to the real thing? I always assumed KAC chopped up some FSB's and welded them onto the tube bodies.
This doesn't confirm KAC's construction method but here's a similar example from "PAWS"
