The SCAR is one of those guns where I want it but don't want to spend that kind of money on it. I'd rather drop the 3k on a FS2000 and even then I'd struggle pulling my card out for it
The SCAR would be much more appealing if it were $2000 or less. It would be a great gun in that price bracket. But in the price bracket that it's in, there are much better and more competitive options. For a .308 rifle I much more prefer the LMT MWS308, and they're even starting to offer a piston option for it. For a 5.56mm rifle, I personally think the CZ BREN 2 and 3 are better options for a similar rifle. And I personally like the AUG A3 best for a 5.56mm rifle, even though it isn't comparable in design. Just caliber. This is just one old man's opinion. If you love the SCAR, that's perfectly fine too. That's the beauty about firearms: everyone is different, there is no one-size-fits-all option, and there is something for everybody.
