What do you guys think about magazine inventory for your firearms? My preference is at minimum 10 magazines per pistol, 10 per bolt rifle, and 25 per semi rifle.
I aim for 5-6 per for my handguns and bolt rifles (though my Ruger American Ranch takes AR mags) and wanna say that I have something like 50-60 AR mags (all PMag GenM2/3) and 30 AK mags (mostly the plastic Bulgarian ones with steel lips and lugs and Romanian milsurp from back when Atlantic was selling them in 4-packs). Also, fuck those Croatian BHO AK mags with a cactus - bought half a dozen and not a single one ran right.

words of warning, an employee at my gunshop bought ~40 magpul mags that we suspect he got at the end of a molds life and none of them drop free from Lowers. Probably worth it to not buy all your mags at the same place/same time. Just like Hard drives.
I function test every single magazine I purchase, most especially pistol mags. In no way exhaustive, but I ensure that each mag does everything it's supposed to in all the firearms it's designed for. If I don't trust it, it doesn't get loaded and stored.

Speaking of mags, I'm still salty as fuck that the Surefeed E2s were discontinued.

I have found the most nigger gun ever.

Managed to get my hands on a Smith & Wesson M&P9 M2.0 Pistol with the ACRO cut. How bad does the loaded chamber indicator on the barrel weep gun powder residue onto the optic? Should I save myself frustration and replace the barrel with a KKM or Apex down the line?
With the CORE setup an RMR at least just needs a little wipe every few magazines, it's not atrocious. It's probably a little aft of an Acro cut though. If it's an Acro on that Acro cut, with its nearly flush objective window, is probably either the worst optic for this particular issue or the best. Something with a lip around it, like an SRO, might stay cleaner if far forward enough, but it might be far enough back that it really doesn't help and just makes it a little harder to clean. Keep a microfiber cloth with you at the range, you'll be fine.

GT has an example of what he refers to as the M7A1 and new shortened suppressor. Sig Saar sent him a unit to shill for it. $0 SBR Stamps might mean Sig Saar is going to be pushing more clone correct M7's.
I have never found it likely that people who are in the market for $4,000+ rifles were ever put off by the tax stamp being $200.

Breaking news everyone. An image showing the slide geometry for the Glock V models have leaked, and it's a huge nothingburger?

They added two easily removable metal features?

And they look to have kept the cruciform trigger bar (the very thing California was particularly mad about).

If I understand the gun here's what you'd need to do to install a switch
1. Remove polymer switch denial tab with dremel
2. Remove metal denial tabs on rear of slide with dremel
3. Install switch (assuming trigger compatibility, which looks to be identical to my eye despite Glock saying that triggers would be different)

Glock added literally one step to the conversion process, Methinks an SOT will convert one within 72 hours of their public release. Will retarded California politicians accept this or will they not be retarded as they are usually and chimp once more?

I've been looking into 10mm pistol options, and the conclusion I've reached is they all suck in some way
-Glock 20/40
Currently scalped to hell and I'm not a huge fan of Glock ergonomics on a good day
-S&W M&P 10mm
For some reason they made the barrel too thin to offer a threaded version, you can't mount a suppressor or compensator.

-FN 510
Right when S&W gave up on their garbage ass hinged trigger design, FN decided to pick it up.
-Springfield XD-M 10mm
Quite possibly the ugliest handgun I can buy if I walk into my local sporting goods store today. Also grip safety lol
-Any flavor of 10mm 1911
I don't even want to dive into the 1911 buyer rabbit hole, plus they all share the downside of being single stack pistols with limited capacity.
-Taurus TH10 and Hi Point 10mm

Oh, and there is some more news. Gen 6 might be a much more radical redesign than just an FCU/Modular grips

Basically what I think this patent shows is a mechanism by which you can depress the sear via a little lever located where the takedown pully things are on current glocks, allowing you to remove the slide without pulling the trigger

This doesn't mean this is going to end up in Gen 6, Glock patents a lot of things. They patented a bunch of things for rifles that as far as anyone knows aren't incorporated into their AR.

It's the M-16 bolt vs the commercial AR-15 bolts machined so they can't trip a lightning link all over again, lmao.

The guns won't be compatible off the shelf.
This will show intent on the part of the user.
Then again I think it was California that is trying to sue Kia for making their cars too easy to steal.

None of the converted Glocks were compatible off the shelf, they all had to be modified by removing the denial tab. The entire point is to try and get rid of the most plentiful gun in the US because they don't want to arrest and imprison people breaking the law.

A lot of states(cities?) are, because they can't prosecute 12 year old kids and Kias are cheap and plentiful. Same deal, it's a distraction.

Do you absolutely require a threaded barrel? If you simply want a decent, reliable 10mm pistol the M&P is hard to beat. Comes optics ready (I suggest the Calculated Kinetics DOGTAG plate) and they're easy to find for a good price. Additionally, one can fit Apex Tactical parts to these and those are great.

If you want a metal frame pistol check out the EAA Witness Elite Match 10mm. It's basically a 10mm CZ 75. They're not produced anymore so you'd have to find one used. I've heard good things about them.

You may already know this but it's not explicitly stated enough: 10mm pistols running full power 10mm loads will have their parts wear out more quicky and one's grip (and how they train their grip in dryfire) matter much more.

Checked out a Ruger RXM at a gun store yesterday and it felt much nicer than a factory Glock. The mag release and slide release felt way more intuitive than stock Glock.

Also every town USA is targeting the RXM because Glock clones are also deadly baby killing fully automatic assault pistols.

Tangfolio Witness Hunter imho is the best modern 10mm. it has a 15 round capacity, full power 10mm Auto rounds, all steel CZ-75 pattern pistol and very well made. expect to pay for it, but it's worth it imho. hard to find though. EAA stopped importing Tangfolios (IFG does now), and since EAA has the rights to the "Witness" design/trademark, there aren't anymore being made. so the nearest is the Stock I or Force Duty, et c
