Gunbroker might have leaked the next gen SCAR. Finally a factory Mlok option, no dual charging like on the MRGG submission , ambi bolt catch and release, different than the "MK3" model for UKMOD

Experimental WW1 era submachinegun that feeds from 10 7 round 1911 magazines by a guy named William Andrews. I could have sworn Ian did a video on this like 13 years ago but I guess I'm crazy

This comes after leaks of a Chinese 6.8x50 AP cartridge
Comparison of that mysterious Chinese 6.8 cartridge to their 5.8

There are claims made that according to to this Chinese language research paper (which is in chinese) the cartridge has a muzzle velocity of around 2600 fps with a 168gr tungsten cor bullet at the muzzle, 2460 at 100m (328ft), 2300fps at 200m (656) and can allegedly pen a (Pre NIJ revision) Level IV at 150m (492ft)

Grey Market Research is getting into the 1911 FRT Game. The design appears to differ radically frm Cash Inc's "No holes in frame design" while this one clearly has a hole drilled. I wonder if having the actual actuating portion outside could allow a very intelligent and talented person to rig up a selector

There are also chamber inserts for the Enfield rifles that allow you to shoot .32 acp. Last I checked someone is still making De Lisle style carbine conversion barrels for Enfields too. You can find them on Centerfire's website.

I've actually used chamber inserts, and they are a fun novelty for about 5 minutes. If you've already got something in .32 ACP, then sure go ahead, but otherwise I wouldn't bother. Currently planning on loading up gallery loads instead, as in this vid.
They seem reasonably accurate, while every chamber insert I've tried has been an absolute disaster when it comes to accuracy. The big advantage is the rifle still operates in exactly the same manner, so you can cycle and load the rifle in a normal way.

A quick note on less expensive in-ear hearing protection:

Axil stuff is alright. I have a pair of XCORs and the GS Extreme 3.0. The XCOR works well enough if you ensure you get the best fit possible from the tips it comes with. Mash them down and shove them as far into your canals as possible.

The GS Extreme is essentially the same thing but with a concha lock and a wired control. More battery life and a bit less expensive.

Both have a Bluetooth capability which I couldn't care less about. Neither is going to give as much protection as active ear muffs + foam ear plugs (my favorite combo).

Harris & Sons are still the best but the above are far less expensive. I like using in-ear stuff when I'm shooting rifles because the stock will often knock a muff off my right ear just enough to be a problem.
I haven't tried those, but I have had pretty good experiences with the ISOTunes Caliber BT earbuds and an older neckband version of the Walker Razor XVs. I prefer them to even slimline muffs for the same reason you do. Both are readily available for under a couple of bills.

XCOR with foam tips? Looks like they have a decent NRR with those.

I just use Mack's foam earplugs under Peltor sport headset for max noise reduction, and you cannot beat that combo for NRR and cost. I do not have a solution for run and gun with radios though and a lot of people seem to be into that.

I've been using the OTTO noizebarrier in ears and have been very happy with them. they equal my howard leight impact sports in audio quality but inside the ear so i can wear a hat in the rain now.

as someone who doesn't know much about guns but hates government intervention, i completely understand why gun lovers fucking despise the ATF.

if the ATF decided that the AA-12 is "too easily convertible" into a machine gun, can't basically any gun be "easily convertible" if you are autistic enough to figure it out

Howdy retards. I have a retarded issue here with my Centurion MK11 build. Everything runs the way it should and it can go out to 500 yards no issue. The problem is that my bcg is mashing my buffer and it’s leaving a circle dent in it.

Specs are:
20” Centurion MK11 barrel
Standard rifle length.308 buffer and spring
JP full mass bcg
Surefire socom brake

I’ve used Igman and Fiocchi M80 ball and one box of Hornady match. My friend fired the first shots out of it with a can on it. I’m thinking I need a stiffer spring so I’m deciding if I want to try a stiffer armalite spring or get a silent capture. Thoughts?

Have you emailed Centurion?

Shortly before I wrote this some guy who only kind of understands how guns work (he got held up for 3 months because he didn't understand the concept of bolt bounce until he watched a YouTube video) and whom owns a hardware store in Idaho started posting to YouTube about his new "Rapid Safety", " The Splitfire". This guy using borrowed AR's, his background as a tinkerer and inventor as well as the friends in the firearms industry has designed his own FRT in the style of the Atrius/ARC Fire but without a spring on the cam for some reason.

Now I can tell just by the look of this guy and the environments he films in that he has money, business acumen and a determination to succeed. He's working on patents and everything, wants to start shipping by December or January.

We have Idaho farm boys and hardware store owners designing FRT's. Market saturation and proliferation is accelerating.

Most of these videos were posted in the last three days

A dent? Or a witness mark/the finish rubbing off? If it's a dent your buffer is made of cheese instead of metal. A circular wear mark is pretty normal, especially for BCGs that aren't properly deburred or have unbroken edges. There is part to part contact there, after all.

It’s a circular indentation if that makes sense. If this is no big deal then I’ll leave it until something happens. Rifle shoots fine besides that.
