I suppose it could but that's... I don't even know... naive? Wildly optimistic? Not a good idea, I'd say.
People were retarded as hell back then, PDWs as a concept didn't exist and Elmer Keith pushed the .44 as the hottest thing since .357 Magnum(and later said it was too much when he then pushed the .41). Top it off with having super long 8 3/8" and 10 5/8" barrels available means people were bound to believe the voodoo behind it.
No, just attempted to see how secure its lockup was at rest. I'll test it the way you told me about later today.
I only say that because even with the 29-2, which is considered the best, people can find side to side play at rest and people can get pissed off chasing a fix for it despite having a tight lockup on firing.
Czech-made Pistollo 77 9mm
apparently 2k are on there way to the american market this year
looks like it will be 3-4k (DOA if you ask me)
I thought it was going to be vaporware Eurotrash, but seeing that price means it may as well not exist.

For that kinda scratch I'd rather spend a bit more and get a Freedom Ordnance FM-9 belt-fed 9mm SBR and drop in an FRT. These things are neat, but not four grand neat.

imagine paying used car money for something that looks like it came from a disposable gun dispenser

I am a sucker for ugly, colored future guns for sure, but that's ridiculous. 4k for a 9mm PCC with no irons, presumably proprietary mags, and completely normal function? If this was 1k I would be shocked at the price.

Thinking of getting a PPK in either 380 or 32acp, thoughts?
PPKs are more pleasant to shoot in .32 and they're a very poor choice as a carry gun, so there's really no reason to get one in a .380 for the extra power. Don't worry about them being discontinued, troll used listings for a good deal. Everyone and their brother bought PPKs because muh bond gun so they are never going to be scarce no matter what any boomer tells you.

real quick fellas, what's the better move for attaching this obsidian 9 once it comes in? spacer on that piston or direct thread? do trilugs suck?

Unless it's for the Bond LARP, don't. I have one in .380 and the thing is a jam-o-matic.
Unrelated to that, I'm joining the PDW club, got a Kuna on layaway, figured I go a for a dedicated platform instead of trying to convert a glock
I've said this before but the ppk is a .32 pistol, it should NEVER has been chambered in .380.

I want one for the Bond larp and because it looks good.

If I wanted a "modern" .32 I'd get a keltec or a Cheetah 80x

I absolutely FUCKED a LGS with my ppk/s 😂🤣

They bought it from me and it sat in a case for 8 months until that finally discounted it to ~$100 more than they bought it from me for

11/10 would fuck them again 😆

I think most suppressors will be at or under 300$ in 6 months

what are your thoughts?

I'm into 3d printing, but obviously not metal printing, not sure how much scale can lower the cost there. I guess i could get some quotes from Chinese manufactures to get a price estimate but I don't care that much. It is also my understanding that Most 3dp metal cans are actually made on rented out machines too?

if we look at the two types of cans, flow through/low back pressure and noise reduction. Cans with the goal of Noise reduction haven't changed much, Flow through on the other hand really benefit from the new production techniques.

I think we will (or at least I want to) see "potato"/Chode cans, short fat cans that basically help stop the Micro TBI problem that short platforms have.

In other news, approvals are moving

I went with a tri-lug set up to mount my SilencerCo Hybrid 46M to my Vector, and I've been happy with it. It's a proven mounting system still in use with countless dangerous men in dangerous jobs, and it's quick and easy to mount and remove.

Zero dollars... What a fucking joke.

Depends what you're mounting it on, you need the piston if you're attaching it to a handgun, and direct thread requires the spacer, tri-lug is great for attaching to long guns.

I think traditional, high quality cans will go down in price a small amount but I doubt it will be anything super meaningful. Price memory is a thing.

Maybe 3DP Titanium stuff will go down in price more? Dunno.

I think there will be a non-insignificant amount of 3D print enthusiasts who will have big piles of cans they printed for $0.23 that are ugly and big and will last two magazines at best but who cares because the price:performance ratio is insane.

Not only does that create NFA compliance nightmare amount of paperwork, but you will be changing the plastic suppressor as often as you change your magazine.
