Keltec, answers the call for innovation then gets shit on for it.
At least until someone steals the design, then it's brilliant.

Zastava is trying to import Serbia's not-PKM sometime this year.
zastava.mp4
$12k MSRP.

Apparently Winchester is throwing their hat in the high BC long range bullet game.

https://winchester.com/Products/Ammunition/Rifle/Supreme-Long-Range

I don’t know anyone who goes to Winchester for long range hunting rounds.
A few guys I know love Winchester for their long distance precision cartridges for target shooting and competition. Supposedly they are a good balance between cost and performance. Not sure how much hunting would be done with this versus just target shooting, but I guarantee that a few of them will be trying out this new line and seeing if it's worth having in their competition rotation.

Keltec is so based. This is such a ridiculous combination. Double stack, clip fed, 13+1, pocket .380, with rotating barrel, and an optic.
Us .380 enjoyers are finally eating good, this is unironically a great pocket carry option.

I've seen the keklel stripper clips ultra thin high cap double stacks be referred as more skin a modern revolver in the no reloading during a gunfight sense and ease of carry and I can see it.

I genuinely don't understand his rambling here, since the SR-3 is a different design from the VSS is he implying he is going to make SR-3s in the future? Is the CAD file hes showing off those shitty Russian ones? Why is he mad at Roswell?

He's Crash(ck)ing out.

The SR-3 is mechanically similar to the Val/VSS, Mugi, Flandre the Tranny's wife claims that they helped Roswell out by letting them molest their converted Molot Arms Blank fire pseudo-VSS and that Roswell is also going to be making a Val/VSS and are aiming for an MSRP of $3500 to $4500, they also make brass cased 9x39. Remember, Brice wants his piece of shit cobbled together crack gun to retail for like $7500

From what I can tell from this video the example itself isn't even mechanically accurate and retains the striker fire mechanism of the Molot Arms instead of the proper linear hammer

IMBEL, yes, and?
They've been all American made for a long long time now. Their contract ended with IMBEL atleast a decade ago.

my hot take is that for the vast vast vast vast majority of hunters cannot take a ethical shot past 300 yards. the industry is seemingly encouraging these long shots and it IS going to end in wounded animals and unrecovered kills.

Shooting a muley at 600 yards across a canyone in Idaho vs shooting a piece of steel at 600 yards on a flat range is totally different. You're likely to be winded, your shot opportunities will be fleeting and you might have to take a non-broadside shot.

HM Defense is doing some crazy shit that if it works could be really interesting.

Essentially, they're cutting circular grooves in barrels to allow for hotter powder charges without retarded high pressures

They're also making their own .50 MAX (12.7x111mm) the cases of which are CNC machined from aluminum bar stock

Claims

Peak Pressure Reservoir (PPR)

  • Maintains peak pressure with excess propellant charges.
  • Increases energy/muzzle velocity.
  • A short barrel can perform like a longer barrel.
  • Maintains peak temperature/pressure when compared to excess high temperature/pressure systems.
  • Increased longevity of components when compared to excess high temperature/pressure systems.
  • Applicable to weapons that fire a projectile with propellant energy, cased and caseless, smooth or rifled bores

Booster System

  • Conserves lost muzzle energy.
  • Lowers muzzle blast.
  • Lowers exit temperature.
  • Lowers exit sound signature.
  • Increases muzzle energy and velocity.
  • Increases range.
  • A short barrel will perform like a longer barrel.
  • Eliminates additional friction loss associated with longer barrels
  • Applicable to weapons that fire a projectile with propellant energy, cased and caseless, smooth or rifled bores

Mossberg is going to start producing importing the all-new TurkeyBerg semi-auto Maverick. James Reeves rightly grills them for it.

As many shitty guns as Turkey puts out, there are some good ones every now and then. I have a Beretta 1301 and an Ultimax Patrol, but I have a MAC 1014 and a Stoeger M3000, and they're both pretty good.

I was really split on these two this year. Is the rotating bolt really all that noticeable to you between them? I've heard it's barely noticeable from the few sources in a side by side, but only ever shot them separately on different days myself.
I don't think it matters all that much. Both of them are fairly soft-shooting and cycle almost anything I run through them.

Stoeger M3000
I love my M3020, it's my lightweight 20ga woods gun that I've had for ~5 years. I was looking at something sub 6lbs that wasn't built on a 12ga receiver. Every other option was $1500+, meanwhile the Stoeger came in at $550, now it is $600. Came with some niceish wood furniture and a ceracote finish. Never had issues with it shooting Federal #6 shot or various slugs.

Probably one of my best budget gun pickups. Got a reliable, lightweight, 20ga, semi-auto for a hundred or two extra over what new pump action 12ga goes for.

I'm looking into getting a momentary switch for my weapon mounted light/laser. I'm not so much looking for a specific model, I'm more interested in hearing about solutions for mounting it on spots that don't have rails or mlok slots.

If I have to niggerrig something with VHB tape I will but I was hoping for something less janky.
Zipties are pretty common for this too. Not awesome, but if it works...

Double sided tape, adhesive Velcro, zip ties, camoform, gaffer tape, lunar concepts hot pocket. Etc…

Show an example of what you are putting where and I can be more specific.

.380 direct blowback tho...

James is asshurt for no reason. Mossberg has been importing Turkish shotguns for years, see me SA-20, a clone of the 20 gauge Beretta A300

He should be happy, they'll have more money to pay him for endorsements and Filipino twinks.

Correct, as long as you hold them to their QC it'll be ok

found some guy who claims to be designing an entirely new form of Caseless ammunition firing rifle, and from what I understand it sounds absolutely bizarre in its function using niche technology dating back centuries
This guy is at least serious enough about this project to pony up the money to go to SHOT

To be fair, that issue can be put squarely on the printer (it was the first and the last time they worked with said printer), while BSD has absolutely no credibility of ever producing even a 10 gun production run.
