I have a question for the thread, what do you consider to be the prize of your collection?
A numbers-matching 1918 Erfurt Luger, complete with original holster, takedown tool, and silver dress magazine. Handed down through the generations. Or my S&W 19-3 that my gram engraved my initials in before she passed.

I don't know how to implement a foolproof system of breaking those up that wouldn't leave me juggling too many mount types or at risk of putting the wrong can on a gun.
i use a paint pen of a given color to place a dot on the mount behind the shoulder, and after installing the suppressor, put a dot "above" the same dot on the mount so both are visible when viewed from the rear. do not use metallic paint pens.

also as a separate mention, i have been extremely busy with new OEM work which is eating all my free time due to additional overhead.

I recently looked through a Holosun with the 2 MOA dot/65 MOA circle in a gun store. For whatever reason, when it's just the 2 MOA dot my astigmatism does its thing and makes the dot appear as a smeared starburst. However when the circle/dot reticle is turned on it's all crystal clear both with and without my glasses on. I'm not sure what chinky magic is at work here but long story short I now own a Holosun pistol dot.

fuk. I've heard reliability problems with those conversion kits, but I guess for 8 cents a round you can't ask for much.

Side note for anyone: I'm planning for a sling, what's the general opinion for using the MOE stock with a sling? I see a lot of praise for the CTR's QD mounts
If you don't immediately want to replace the stock for other reasons and don't plan on removing the sling often, I'd just pass one end through the slot on the stock you find most comfortable - for me, this ends up being the one around the buttpad with the sling extending from the ejection side (YMMV and reverse if you're left-handed). Then just use a QD for the front, either on your handguard's built in QD or an MLOK one if you want the other end closer to the receiver.

That said, all of my ARs have stocks with QD cups, so I just end up using those. Also, the quick-adjust slings are absolutely worth the extra cash.

That’s why I only support second amendment rights for national socialist whites.
Well shucks, I'm only a nationalist that's super racist.

Glad you're still around, Clubby.

8.6 blackout just got approved by SAAMI. The recommended barrel twist rate is 1:6. Not 1:3 like they submitted. This won’t stop people from putting 1:3 barrels on but will cover the ammo manufacturers when someone puts a cup and core bullet through a 1:3 twist barrel and blows up their suppressor.

Okay MRGT, I don't really know what the hell to say about this so I'll be blunt, Apparently Charles Reed "Trey" Knight III, Son of Charles Reed Knight II, Founder of Knight's Armament Company, has essentially gone batshit and started chimping out and attacking his neighbors while acting like a lunatic.
>Charles Reed
@Bathrobe_dwane what the hell are you doing dog? You looking around to kill some trihards?

Its the same way for me. The AEMS dot-in-a-circle looks way clearer than any dot by itself. My astigmatism is bad enough that I can't use a dot beyond 50m or so because it will completely obscure the target but the Holosun circle reticle completely fixes it

Have you tried a prism scope?
I have a bad astigmatism too and find a prism is an acceptable compromise.

Yes, I have an ACOG and I've tried some of the Primary Arms optics. They're fine but I don't like them for 1x. I'd rather not use them unless they're magnified. They look clearer but the eye box, parallax limitations, passive aiming are objectively worse than a red dot (at least when its one that I can see like the Holosun)

I guess that explains why Midway sold me a 1:3 barrel a couple months ago at like 70% off.

The wind chime is like one of those miscellaneous items in RPGs that increase your stats for no reason when equipped.

I will. I will bully you relentlessly if you do that. Why are you thinking about doing that?
well, i put a higher mount on my MP5's red dot that allows me to use the iron sights but the brace is pretty low. a little cheek rest won't hurt nobody, will it..?

On your cheek? No. Anywhere else on your body? Maybe. The people getting shot while you're using the cheek rest? Probably hurts them a lot.
