Mega Rad Gun Thread

K31s are great.

I hadn't heard anyone recommend Kahr in a decade and honestly thought they had completely pivoted to deagles & tommy guns after buying out Magnum Research & Auto Ordinance.
The S&W bodyguard 2.0 has the pocket 380 formfactor on lock at this point, coming in lighter with the best ergonomics and double the capacity, making it hard to suggest anything else unless you're stubborn and demand to make Bill Ruger's ghost mald with a LCPMAX or pretend you're in WWI with Kel-Tec's new stripper clip fed hicap 380.
If he's looking at true pocket pistols in .25 I'm by default recommending the smallest .380 I would buy, because the BG2.0 might get dismissed outright for being significantly larger than a baby Browning/Bauer/whatever. The BG2.0 is the obvious modern choice if you are willing to go just a little bit larger, but if you go just a little bit larger than a BG2.0 you can get a 9mm, it is one of those where do you stop things. Pic related, a hellcat is closer to a BG2.0 in size than a BG2.0 is to a P380, a P-32 is barely smaller than a P380, and a seecamp for reference as one of the smallest pistols out there.

I stand by the P380 being the best choice for deep concealment, LCPs suck and P32s are 32s and Kel-Tec... I'm probably going to buy one of those neat proprietary red dots for my BG2.0 and ruin it for pocket carry.

I never hear anything about Kahr in general, I think they must have had a kimber issue and pissed people off, plus there's the whole moonies thing. Regardless, I've never had issues with the Kahr pocket 380s and I have been the reason a few people have purchased one after trying mine or hearing what I have to say about it. I never hear anything bad about them. The other Kahr that I've actually seen recommended before the double stack micro 9 era is the PM9/CM9, which was in the PF9's size class but a little smaller and obviously a nicer quality gun than a Kel Tec PF9.

Bro there are like 5 quintillion of them and IMO are still underpriced for the quality of the rifle
Actually to be a total autismo/Hi I'm Ian from Forgotten Weapons....

little over half mil made. So not really a ton compared to most Surp. It's a great rifle and good deal imho. Speaking of, fuck I need one.
plus they are nearly in new condition usually. the standard infantry variant is very undervalued. The target and sniper versions however are very overvalued.

on the K31 it is a great rifle, have fun with the $1/rnd ammo unless you roll your own. I'm lucky to have two cases of GP11, I'm saving one in case I ever get a STG57

in terms of accuarte, high quality surplus rifles I would rather have a swedish husqvarna/Carl Gustav AB/CG-63 in 6.5x55. very similar performance to 6.5 creedmoor (readily available brass and bullets as well), and the target rifle variants w/ diopter sights are very affordable.

A diopter sighted one has been on my get list for a while, but I've never gotten around to actually looking for a decently priced one. Was always curious about 6.5x55 and how it felt

All the concealed carry posting is great. Here's my two, a glock 43x and a sterling 25 as a tactical ankle backup. Post yours kiwi crew

It's kinda concealed by my shirt covering it. I keep Nosler hollow points in it right now, but my supply is running low so I'll need to develop a new load soon.
I used to carry this Undercover .38 until I shot it loose, out of time and wore out the springs:

I was the 3rd generation to carry it since it was built in 1965.
Honorable mention:
This Ruger EC9 in FDE which was my favorite micro 9. it fit my hand perfectly and so I shot a few k rounds through it and wore it out as well. I should send it back to be repaired (if possible)

S&W Bodyguard 2. Weighs 15.5oz fully loaded and 18.8 with the holster. Thanks to the holster design it prints the same with or without a dot, which is to say it prints like hell. At least it's just a rectangle so anyone who notices probably just thinks I'm an autist who carries around a Nintendo DS.

P365XL, now with an enclosed dot instead of the plastic Romeo Zero it came with. Zippo for scale since my brother was curious as to its size.

went out and tested my carl tonight, shits awesome. really helps the ammo go a bit further while still being super fun.

also got a chance to test out my ocl polonium k, worked pretty good, i would not say its hearing safe but really tames it down, prob barely above 22lr levels.

I’ve seen Sacro have these for sale. Are they worth picking up from them?
