Mega Rad Gun Thread

Got one of those Otis suppressor cleaning kits a few months back and finally decided to give it a try. Disassembled my Surefire Ryder 22-S, mixed up the solution with hot water, put all the parts in the tube with the solution/water mixture, and let it soak for about 48hrs. It worked out pretty well. Eventually I plan to get one of those hypersonic cleaners, but for now this works.

I'm probably late to the party with this pistol comparison site but I searched the thread for "handgunhero" and didn't get any hits. I've never seen it before and it's very useful to do side-by-side comparisons with high-quality pics and measurements

A couple random comparisons:

Click the Add/Remove Handguns button at the top-right to change guns. It's not very intuitive but has a decent selection

There is a Bear on my porch RN. Too bad it's not in season because i could blow it right off the deck with my .30-06 most ricky tick. Too damn dark for a good picture. It just looks like a big black hole in the dark. Only knew something was out there because it started pushing around my Adirondack chairs.

Always have a tourniquet on me too.

I am pretty pissed at that guy who Sigged himself in the foot with his Shadow 2 recently. MUCH DISHONORBRU has been brought upon the CZ clan. Yeah its because it was modded to shit but its still fucking annoying.

The CZ cope is going to be that it was heavily modified, which it was.

One popular mod that I've heard is installing a firing pin long enough to poke outside of the breech face if the hammer is resting on it.

That's literally how most open bolt machine guns work, probably shouldn't do that, lmao.

Can’t just claim self defense since it’s on your porch?

Yeah that was what I heard as well - the firing pin was modded to be poking out (lmao y tho??) and they were using federal primers which are apparently notoriously soft.

TBH I'm mostly mad because it gives Siggers some fresh copium.

Not really. When somebody modifies their competition CZ to be unsafe, everyone knows that the guy who put a hole in his foot is a retard.
It's a little different when a factory pistol puts a hole in your leg all on its own.

Now lets laugh at the Czecktards and their overrated pistols that are only good in competition.

that's fucking baffling. what's the point? what about that isn't retarded to somebody?

Ok guys hear me out, the 1891 Carcano carbine is the best wepon for home defense, and here are some reasons.

  1. Proven track record with the Arditi in ww1, if its good enough to storm trenches its good enough for your house.
  2. Potent and capable ammo, if 6mm Carcano is good enough for a deer, it can most definitely 1 shot a man, You can also use it to shoot through walls.
  3. Mobile flash bang, short barrel leads to tons of unburnt powder igniting outside of the barrel, effectively concussing the intruder.
  4. Ammo capacity, easy to load manlicher clips 6 round capacity.
  5. Light and handy also has a bayonet, perfect for silent stealth kills on intruders. Turn down bolt handle also makes cycling the action faster and trigger requisition faster.
  6. Legal implications, courts are more likely to go easy on you because its not a scary fully semiautomatic AR-15, also cheap and easy to replace incase the police "lose" it in evidence.

Shame these aren't produced anymore, last gun show I saw a clapped out one for $175 and I almost bought it but something about the operation just didn't feel right, like unsafe (not blaming Kel-Tec for that though, that gun clearly had a very rough life). The P-32 might be one of the most polarizing guns out there, I've seen guys swear by them and other guys who say they're as bad as a Lorcin.
Kel tec makes them in a few batches a year.

~$280-$300 brand new
The Implications of MFMD Style/ "High Performance Reduced Length" (HPRL) suppressors.

There has been a lot of buzz about the Strategic Sciences Multi Function Muzzle Device (MFMD) suppressor series, notably for their alien aesthetics, somewhat less for their supposedly stellar performance, but what I don't see discussed as much is their reduction in OAL and the implications of that.

On an 11.5 URGI an MFMD 1.3 adds less than 2/3rd of an inch

An RC-2 adds about 3.8, this means you can now have a 15.3in Barrel with an MFMD for the same overall length, that means higher velocities, less flash (especially so with a theoretical optimized MFMD, which is possible because they're all platform optimized), less concussion. This coupled with high performance ammunition such as NAS-3 would either allow you to have even higher velocities or the same velocities while shaving off length.

I don't think SS can patent the concept of a direct thread reflex suppressor no matter how fancy it is, so assuming the the MFMD's perform as advertised I think HPRL as a category could emerge.

This is what the NGSW program should have been, this concept applied to a high end AR.
Yep, too bad the US Army procurement people are retarded.

A 14.5 or even 16 inch URGI mass issued with this suppressor would be a huge deal.
I don't go below .380acp or 32H&R Magnum. At this level the pocket gun I recommend is the Kahr CW380 (or P380 if you want to spend more). They are good quality guns with real (small) sights and are pretty easy to shoot well because they have a long DA style trigger that is not overly heavy or crunchy. .25s are usually saturday night special tier and have enough quality issues being such cheap dinky guns that they may wear out or break if you do any significant practice with them. I've put a couple thousand rounds through mine over the years and had a couple of FTFs in early/break in but haven't had any issues since
Hmmm 🤔
On the note of Kel-Tec, despite what S.C.U.D. said last page, the P32 is still in production and you can grab a new one off Midway for $285 right now.
Is it the best carry gun? No. Is .32acp the best caliber? No. (still worlds better than .25acp and modern loads can be "good enough")
But it's absolutely the smallest, thinnest, and lightest proper tilting barrel locking action pistol available if hiding a gun in your skin-tight hot pants is a priority.
Yep they're made in batches
S&W Bodyguard 2. Weighs 15.5oz fully loaded and 18.8 with the holster. Thanks to the holster design it prints the same with or without a dot, which is to say it prints like hell. At least it's just a rectangle so anyone who notices probably just thinks I'm an autist who carries around a Nintendo DS.

NGL I kinda want a Carcano for the lulz
