Retard.

Ah yes, let's celebrate the liberation of suppressors and SBRs but not bother learning to use the damn thing to its potential.

Your height over bore matters most up close. It's the difference between shooting the wall or a car hood and hitting your target, not to mention the one-shot kill is highly dependent on your precision and accuracy. You guys need to break the mold of thinking guns are just a way to protect yourself and more of a way to protect all of our rights. Learn stuff, practice, and become lethal and capable.
My nigga, you're replying to some guy talking about using guns for self defense. Neither me or him are talking about some fuckass sheepdawg boog fantasy or whatever. Having a 1-2" vertical shift in aim isn't a particular concern in the context of home defense, provided you are in fact aware of your muzzle and don't shoot your countertop.

Yuh-huh. I guess if we keep moving the goal posts we can talk about why good sneakers are important so you can run away from bad guys next.

I got started on all this because people tried to kick my door down at 4am. I was on the other side with a shitty Springfield XDS I had no confidence in.

Telling someone to buy a good door instead of a decent gun and learning how to use it correctly is like telling someone not to put air in their tires just put gas in your car.

Telling people they have seconds to stop the threat and also telling them it's okay to suck seems like astounding cognitive dissonance, but you aren't replying in good faith anyways.

The entire discipline of shooting is doing things correctly that close your group an inch or two. You don't need good trigger discipline! At "self defense ranges" it only opens your group up a few inches! Height over bore is basic stuff dude, and important.

You are not an operator and you sound like a total fag talking like this in the gun thread on a fat woman drama forum. I'm sorry you got your door kicked in but that makes you an expert in precisely zero things and if anything, makes me think you are an even bigger retard for putting yourself in the position to get your door kicked in with only a Springfield XD to deal with it.

FYI: if you have a Gen 3 Easy Jig here are the STL files to 3d-print a couple attachments to fully mill an M16 trigger pocket after milling the AR-15 pocket from the stock jig. The Gen 4 already does it but there are plenty of Gen 3's still out there.

I don't remember where I originally found them years ago or I'd give credit. I didn't think they would work but on a whim I uploaded them to an overseas prototyping place's web site that let you upload STL's just playing around curious about how much the different materials they offered cost.... and dumbly ordered a set in SLS Nylon PA12 Glassfilled.... becasue I remember AvE saying something about glass-filled nylon being better on molded tool enclosures or something. Anyway it was one of the best dumb decisions ever - shit works great.

This place is amazing to just upload STL files and experiment: https://i.facfox.com/insta3dp/
Used to run a New Frontier until I fried it and they denied ever making jigs and wouldn't sell me new plates or even give me DXF files to laser new ones. Now I've got a homeboy that probably has the gen4 so I'm Gucci. Way harder to fuck up unless you don't hold it tightly.
I'm unwilling to shell out the $40 transfer or deal with driving back and forth for waiting period if I can avoid it. Not paying 120+ for shit I can do for 1/3 that and in like 40 minutes.

It's hard to explain but I get a satisfying civil disobedience high every time I make one. Plus, as you said it's super-cheap and gratifying. Spend the extra $15 or whatever from RightToBear for custom fire/safe markings on the blank and a little Testers enamel paint and it looks better than Boney's HK BoomerStick™ too.

"you don't think a 1" shift in POI is a big problem so you think trigger discipline isn't important too huh" no bitch that's a whole new sentence
Aiming for the middle of the torso of a home intruder and not being overly concerned if you're hitting lungs or liver is sufficient for people who don't have the time or money to shoot thousands of rounds training for their gravy seal larp fantasy.

The moral of the story is that your split times on the range don’t fucking matter in a home defense shooting.
This you? What is this resistance to training you have while emphasizing the perilous nature of a home invasion? You are yapping and speculating and you really could just be learning. Set high standards in training so when you call upon those skills you can actually draw on something useful in the confusion and adrenaline. Basic shit.
don't have the time or money to shoot thousands of rounds training
You absolutely don't need to shoot thousands of rounds a year to get good at shooting. You just need to spend the time you do have shooting actually practicing and not just mag dumping.

300rds one trip a month, plus dryfire, with a learning mindset will take you deep into competent.

You guys are so caught up in your projection of me as some gucci gear mall ninja you are saying stupid shit trying to refute basic logic. The take away here really should be: Don't gaslight yourself with your own bad advice and actually train.
hitting lungs or liver
You gonna die. Hearts and heads.

300x12=3600
Last I checked 3600 could be considered "thousands"

300x0.40 cpr (assuming you can get 5.56 for that price even)=$120

Telling people they need to spend $120 a month to even be worthy of owning a gun is asinine and self defeating. Don't get me wrong, I probably spend more on that because I enjoy shooting and do it as often as I can afford, but not everyone is an enthusiast to the same degree and telling everyone to spend that much is a big ask.

Don't buy those Lee loaders btw, unless you're absolutely DESTITUTE and have literally no other option it's much more worthwhile to set aside a little extra money and space to get a single stage press.
My dad tried his hand in the 80's loading .38 wadcutters with a Lee loader. RIP dad but your reloads sucked, pulling squibs every twentieth round or so is a PITA.

swapped the basic baby scope rings on my mark IV with a cheapo monstum mount with QD latches to go between scope and no scope :)

Big recommend for the next one. PEPR mount is appreciably nicer then Monstrum and not $300+ like the Reptilia.

So its semantics for you at this point. Again, its actually learning and developing it as a skill and not trying to excuse your ignorance or inability. Shooting well is an attainable and affordable skill for anyone.

And yes, you have a certain degree of responsibility if you are walking around with a gun to be proficient with it.

I wouldn’t even respond at this point. He’s either being a deliberate troll or he’s just a massive faggot.

Probably both.

>Lurkers come out of the woodwork to pick fights
And the wheel of time keeps turning

I still disagree that a shotgun is a good choice for a total ignoramus, but you absolutely sink to the level of your training when under pressure. Yeah, you probably wont need to know that your offset is half an inch at 11 yards, but if you get to the point where you don't even think about it anymore then who cares. Oh no my lobster is too buttery type shit.

To be very clear, I'm still talking about firearm training and use as it pertains to using an intermediate caliber semi automatic rifle for home defense. I'm not talking about hunting, I'm not talking about concealed carry, I'm not talking about professional use or anything else. For the very specific context of using an intermediate caliber rifle for home defense, I'm saying you're being an elitist fag for setting your standards so high. You should strive to be better yes and there should be a minimum level of competency, but saying things such as you need to shoot 300 rounds/month for that proficiency is ridiculous to me.
