If the word “consensual” hadn’t been stuck on that third option, then the other two wouldn’t have been explicitly rapey. If it just said “missionary” and PK had included the “btw guys it’s consensual!” Then everyone could have read it as “oh okay, they’re doing all that consensually,” but instead it’s like “well then why is that last one labeled consensual?” It makes no sense to label the last one consensual and then say all of it is. All it does is make clear that the original intent of the picture to explicitly say that she’s raping Neon.

its so deeply inconsistent and the attempt at making species that have several morphs but still can be recognized as the same family just falls so flat because all the designs are weird and cluttered and have very few common threads pulling them together, they fail as the basic of character design by being too detailed while conveying too little information (imagine animating all of that or actually staying on model with a non sketchy art style, geezh no wonder the art is rushed) somehow having same face syndrome that still fundamentally changes the bone structure whenever vaugely at an angle while having roughly a billion different species, and having characters that barely pass the silhouette test while still being drawn in a cartoony exaggerated style.

Its kind of a beautiful mess

A lot could work as it is i think. The context of the characters removed, and many are “ok” designed and could be greatly improved with what would be pretty superficial quick fixes:

I’d limit the palette to maybe 4 similar and less saturated colors and 1-2 strategically placed more saturated contrast colors to bring out important details that you want to draw attention to and prevent retina assault.

I’d also make it more fluid or streamlined, like a character that follows one main shape and can be drawn quickly while still keeping it looking nice, less stuff poking out, a lot of this would be possible by just changing the linework and tweaking small things like proportions.

And lastly get rid of all the “noise” including clashing colors and random growths, make the average character be made of like 10-20% details instead of what the fuck is going on right now. Oh and dont add things without having it make sense either aestethically or in universe

I don't blame you, though. There's still no fine line to distinguish who is the same person putting on a different persona, and who is from an alternate universe.
I think the Neon in Call Sign is the same Neon from ROM and VR. The Neon in Turf Tiger might be a different universe Neon, because in that instance--Shizu's face is decayed, and Vivian

is suspiciously similar to Viridian in Call Sign

This still isn't definite proof, because the two Vi's could easily just be siblings in the same universe. (I can't remember where I saw non-decayed Shizu. If anyone could point where, I'd appreciate it.)
Another obvious hint would be the change in hair style, but since everyone has magic powers and goats basically have shape-shifting ability, it's not really a big deal in change in this case.
