You know, I just realized that it's poetically ironic that Floraverse has a Creative Commons license.

Remember when PK severely underpaid artists for contributing to her Floraverse zines? Now that she's possibly done with Floraverse (still not 100% convinced she won't go back to it in a few months) anyone could potentially make money off Floraverse and her characters while she's doing fuck all.

The real question is why would anyone want to pick up Floraverse after it now has the permeating stench of it previously being run by dog-fucking pedophiles. Their time would be much better spent making their very own open-source critter world group (hopefully without the weird fucking porn easily found by anyone, including minors.)

Has Opaopa said anything about PK continuing to use his Turftiger fanfiction basis for her own fic?

Echoing what others have said, basing off of my memory, she made these because she was mocking the whole "sparkle dog" thing that is still apparent on DeviantART. That or I am thinking about griffsnuff. Anyways it was to mock sparkle dogs for not being original enough and technicolor disaster as if her own creatures were not like them.

most likely, personal attachment. it's the same reason PMD-E is getting rebooted despite everything, people have fond memories of it, and want to liberate it from it's absolutely revolting roots.
