In my opinion, PK has never really been able to convey a character's emotions in her work. It always comes off as really forced or strange to me.

Like, I really don't like super analyzing porn artwork because whatever, it's fucking porn, but the way she keeps trying to defend the comic is hilarious. Yes, okay, Neckhorse is a stoic character that takes herself too seriously or whatever, but the way it comes off in this comic is that she's completely horrified by what is going on. It is far more than just confusion, disinterest or nervousness. It's not just her face that comes off as horrified too, it is her body language too. Her laying in bed with PoolNoodle hugging her, her body is completely stiff, her face looks like she has just seen a ghost.

It is just amusing that even with all these over-exaggerated, cartoony expressions that she gives her characters, she has no fucking clue how to use them properly. It reminds me a bit of Andrew Dobson too: you have art skill, you have this platform to draw something with exaggerated emotion, but everything both of them draw looks like it is in some sort of pain (physically or emotionally).

Though I'm sure she'll just blame her lack of knowledge regarding how people emote on her autism.

Now if I were in Amdusias' position in these real experiences my response to this criticism would be "I know, pretty fucked up right? I felt the same way." But after the creepy, manipulative rape scene and Pool Noodles reaction to Amdusias' concern the response "It's a healthy relationship" really makes me think PK leans towards Pool Noodle in her "real experiences".

When someone asks someone why they stay in an abusive relationship a lot of people in abusive relationships say "because when they're good they're really good" many abusers know that they have to sometimes not be abusive and be nice for like 12 minutes and go back to being abusive.
