Oh goody. I picked a great time to catch up on this thread.

Having read plenty of personal things these three have written over the years, this letter really does feel like it was a collaborative effort of some sort. The narcissistic edge of admitting a mistake while still absolving onself of blame by claiming that the other party lied? That feels very reminiscent of the original vent post PK made that spurred Pengo into their callout, or the infamous rebuttal doc as written by Eevee. It also lacks the typical holier-than-thou tone typical of Marl, and it's not nearly as antagonistic as what PK usually puts out. So my assumption is that it was written by Eevee with input from PK and Marl (maybe not Marl? I'd be willing to believe he lacks any real involvement in it at all, and simply isn't in a position to actually say anything about this.)

Nothing about this feels genuine. It doesn't feel like a apology or admission, it feels like an excuse and cover-up. It doesn't feel like it was written by Marl, from a genuine and honest place, it feels like a fake. Heck, it doesn't even feel like (assuming there IS some nugget of genuine truth in there) something that was only just now discovered. It feels like yet another orchestrated redirection put together over a couple months, to try to distract everyone from the recent dirty laundry that's been dug up from their hampers, and instead place themselves in a Victim role.

Believe it or not, PK, but some of us know a fish when we smell one.

Glip and Eevee are doing nothing to take responsibility for their part of the abuse. They've hurt a lot of people. Her 'believe victims' crowing turned into shaming and vitriol real fast when somebody dared to bring up legitimate, substantiated accusations against any of the three of them. For the same thing to be happening over and over and over with Marl being a creep, and somehow she still doesn't know? For 10 years? I call bullshit. The three of them made an active attempt to cover up their behavior by scrubbing server logs and banning people's accounts. Marl's apology is all about cover for Glip and how it's not her fault. It reads like it was written, directed, and produced by Glip. It's her voice coming out of his mouth. She's playing the poor devoted, abused wife card in order to avoid taking responsibility for her actions.

Come on, Floraverse crew, we're not that stupid. We know you read the thread. Saying that Glip didn't know is a piss-poor excuse when we've done such a nice job compiling all the evidence for you.
