I honestly believe that Marl served as a bouncing board and helper for her Floraverse venture more then as a husband or helpmeet. He was there to marry, get her out of her old situation, and then to give her the asspats needed by an older dude to give her the impetus to get the ball rolling on her webcomics. When she met Eevee she wanted him sexually and emotionally, but Marl was only ever needed as a father figure for her. Now that he is a liability and she knows that she and Eevee can make it on their own they are ditching the Dead weight. Marl was never anything more then a daddy to her.

Yeah, according to their site everything they or their fans create it has to be submitted under the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 3.0 License. I was also going to add something about merchandising but apparently the license allows people to sell shit as long as they give credit to the original artist.
