Side note, is "cooking fuel" for gas black slang? My brain immediately jumps to camper stove or grill propane tanks since that was my association with that phrase growing up, not a gas kitchen stove, so it took me a second to realize what she meant. (Bet her stove is electric, anyway).

Assuming Mem isn't flat out lying about the bill and using it as an excuse to grift free money, there are plenty of people who use a lot of water with multiple showers a day, run the faucet non-stop while doing dishes, do daily laundry, etc. It's plausible someone who mismanages money just as easily mismanages utility usage or doesn't pay attention to rate differences during designated peak hours.

Woo, I love the Marissa Davis effect - begbegbeg, bills mysteriously paid at the last moment by anonymous sources. Happens every time.

I'd wager 300 quatloos that this is true with all sorts of grifters making the exact same, "I'll be fucked, help me now ASAP," posts immediately followed up by a post breathing a metaphorical sight of relief. To me, it comes off as the boy who cried wolf. They do it so much, it's easily to disregard their desperation as a lie.

I also love how our dipshit didn't update the dates in one of her posts so she's proclaiming her utility shut-offs are in the month of April when we're well into May.

I'm pretty sure the grifters who post the most simply cut and paste their grift screeds with little to no proofreading. It's the only way some of them can post so prolifically.

It in no way increases visibility, except for making people who take a closer look at it to maybe wonder what it is and forget to Google it by the time they get home.

I've seen some creepy looking muppets on an old kid's show posted on YouTube, but these make those look family-friendly in comparison.

If I saw this "card" pinned up on the one store in my area that still has a help-wanted style bulletin board in its alcove area, I'd be wanting to avoid the guy at all costs and bathing myself in Lysol as soon as I returned home.

I hate to say the grifting is getting old because it sounds MATI, but it sucks that everyone giving money is so cucked they are ignorant or purposely overlooking the fact all the money Mem has received to date has done absolutely nothing to better her situation unless she is living comfortably behind the senses scenes and bilking people out of their money for kicks.
