Meowthkip has retired, future of this board

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
Honestly my first response to this announcement was just to consider leaving myself, but I'm going to stick around a bit. I seriously think her departure, warranted or not, is just a sign of the increasing degeneracy of the site.
Soon every other subforum will end up imploding or being merged into other sections, leaving only Animal Control as the last, surviving on self moderation and instant dox on retards trying to personal army other furfags they don't like.

Good luck in whatever you decide to do, @Meowthkip. You've been a good mod, and I'm glad that I found the site while you were moderating it. You kept it fun while also keeping it from going totally off the rails. KF is a unique website, and you contributed a lot to that. Semper fi.

I also vote for moving active threads over to other sections and giving them a Tumblr tag. Archive the rest into Spergatory. It doesn't make sense to create a Twitter/Reddit subforum with how much crossover there is with other established sections. Artcows, genderspecials, and fandom failures aren't as platform-specific as they used to be.

This. The departure of @Meowthkip is quite simply the end of an era.

I’m sad to see so many of the major threads in this board being sent off to other categories. The magic of the Tumblr board was that many of the people frequenting it were current or former Tumblr users themselves who knew the culture of the site well enough to provide accurate commentary and archives. I honestly expect many of the exported threads to start going downhill when the rest of the site gets their hands on them.

Edit: I also don’t think it’s accurate to say that Tumblr is dead. The site has always been a powerhouse of original content (both good and bad) and continues to be so even while many of its users now operate on multiple platforms.

A shame, but understandable. I certainly enjoyed the threads here, and commonly found myself coming back on a regular enough basis.

Have a happy retirement, and may the next mod (if there is one lined up) fill the shoes you left behind.

If there are threads that you want moved, report them. This board is now archived.

Catch you on the flip side.
