Anyone else notice an emerging pattern of people posting themselves here or bringing attention to themselves here in the way of getting a following? Like selfadvertisement on kiwifarms.

It seems like it's following a pattern of:
-person is already a member or lurker of KF or LC
-person is part of lolcow watching spaces, such As RogueInternetMan, BasedShaman, or their fan discord.

Almost a lolcow who tries to be a cow, by posting on kiwifarms or adjacent communities with the sole purpose of becoming a lolcow. It's not just a user with bad opsec like OrsenZed, or a lolcow who came here because it was the only website they aren't banned from, aka Tommy Tooter.

Examples: whiteglove, The White Bowser, whatever the fuck this was:
 
Yeah, but I don't necessarily think that's an emerging pattern, it's always been there to some extent.

It may have gotten worse more recently simply because KF stands out more as an entity on the increasingly sanitized internet, but in the past people have definitely shown up wanting to be lolcows, and others have posted on the site to try to develop a following.

If they aren't already established or at least funny they're often just going to get tossed, there are a number of threads people have made on themselves in the past that you never see because they quickly get deleted or sent to the depths of spergatory.

Also if by Whiteglove you mean Mr. Cool Ice, I don't think they explicitly wanted to be a lolcow. They're just very very fat and whiny.
