Has anyone else tried editing their emblem? Mine starts stuttering like hell whenever I pull up the list of words. It's the only real slowdown I've noticed so far.
 
Random cardboard box in the middle of the Afghan desert? Seems legit.

A'ight, I'm gonna be that fag and ask some questions about how to get various shit:


- Does anybody know how to unlock or where to get heads for Big Boss? I'm assuming I'll be getting a bandanna further on, but surly that can't be it, can it?

- Can I play as anyone other than BB at certain points? Haven't tried free roam yet.

- Where do I unlock/buy other chassis for my helicopter? It sounds like I can have something else besides the UH-60 Black Hawk.

You unlock helicopter research options pretty early in, which includes chassis upgrade options. Unlocking them needs the right research level and materials, same as everything else.

I know you can, but I'm not sure how. I transferred one of my units to the waiting area of Mother Base, but I still don't see him as playable. Maybe you unlock it through the story?
 
I punched a bear into unconsciousness then air-lifted it to my base. 10/10 GOTY ALL YEARS.
 
What was the point of the character creation thing in the hospital if you play as Snake?

I'm assuming you later unlock the combat unit to place units in and then they will become playable similar to Peace Walker.

I just assumed it was for when MGO is released. Or maybe it was a joke to poke fun at people who came up with theories that
the BB you play as in MGSV isn't actually the same BB from Peace Walker
 
Guys, explore mother base as it grows, there is hidden stuff apart from diamonds. There was a fucking cutscene with certain character and I was freaked out.

Still early to tell if this game goes like
Spec Ops The line
but... Woah...

You can play as other characters if you really want to (but why would you) or send them on missions once they're assigned to the combat team.
I noticed that my imported GZ save included the Kojima character, so I'll probably give that a try for fun.

Two reasons to not always play as Big Boss.
1. Some soldiers might have skills that BB doesn't have like botany. What if you need some medicinal herbs or some shit?
2. I'm assuming that much like in PW with enough grinding you can level up a recruit to be superior to BB in every way. I enjoy the concept of levelling Kojima himself to be the ultimate infiltrator/fighter.

Was in medical bay. I have a extra deck there and Quiet is recruited. Is in a door in the main building. SPOILER
You find Paz. Kaz and Ocelot claim she survived and they extracted the second bomb, it was a Missile what destroyed the helicopter.

It seems to be an optional cutscene as I was just fooling around in the base wasting time and then... FUCK.

I think I might have to put this off. My PS3 controller's being a tard. I swear, these things have a shelf life of 2 years.

You were able to import? I keep getting a connection error and I seem to not be the only one.

Console FOB servers are "undergoing maintenance". Have been since launch unfortunately.
 
Kojima played US LIKE A DAMN FIDDLE!!!

Paz turning out to be alive blew my mind. Like...holy shit. But something seems off about her. VERY off, especially given Ocelot's commentary about her condition. Also I guess the "second bomb" debate is settled now since it was pretty much shown that the medic shoved his hand...up...you know...uh...yeah.

Did you upload your GZ save data first? I figured mine would do that automatically but you need to do it from the GZ menu first.

Also I am really impressed with how the alarm and AI system works in the game. I've seen enemies buddy up when they suspect there's someone in the area, systematically sweep buildings and rooms, and call for reinforcements and stay on heightened alert for a few hours after a major alert.

Yep. First thing I did before I got TPP. It seems to be working now though but there's some lag if you keep online connection.
