I tried my darndest to platinum it, but IIRC there was 1 trophy which needed a minimum of 12 playthroughs to get all endgame rankings, one of which needed to be at least 100 hours? That was ridiculous. It was also the trophy patch
You're making me want to play it again, the few mods described so far sound awesome.Yes.
MGS4 Steam page.
Had a moment where I was doing a side op when the Skulls came out of nowhere. It's early game and I don't really have good weapons to fuck them up yet so I admittedly ran away like a little bitch and escaped in my chopper.
I set it so that their spawn rate is as unpredictable as possible. It's like fucking Nemesis in RE3, except at least Nemesis was scripted. I have no clue when the Skulls are gonna show up and fuck me up. I could possibly go several hours without seeing them only for them to ambush me at the most inconvenient time. I actually really like it. Tbh feels like this would've been cool to have in the base game y'know so the skulls had more screentime and more of a presence instead of only appearing for like... what, 3 missions?
I don't think that's ever happening unless there is beta builds unveiled that had the cut third act/ending on it. You would not only need brand new assets and maps, but also create new cutscenes, dialogue, animations ect. not to mention new hazards not found in the base game(for example, spike traps). Way too much work and I dunno how complex and easy to use modding tools for the game are. It's never happening, the only reason we got the recent Ground Zeroes mod at all is because both are pretty much using the same engine, so it wasn't hard to integrate one into the other.ou're making me want to play it again, the few mods described so far sound awesome.
My only worry about modders fixing V so much is it may eventually become overstepping in Konami's eyes and they'll get litigious. Considering how anal Nipponese companies get with their IPs, I think that a modder putting in the cut ending would be too much to them, since it is now also cut canon that is being reintroduced. Cut canon that could have served as a whole other game, or just scrapped for a different idea entirely to explain where Liquid and the metal gear went in a different game.
If modders really tried to put in the cut ending of V, make it good quality and it started making waves among the fanbase, Konami lawyers would be on their asses quick. Theres a lot of potential money lost in letting some modders tie up that loose story thread for free.
Would be forgetting it exists.fixing V
Someone has already recreated the white hazmat XOF variant at least. And custom maps are possible. For the Sahelanthropus battle they'd probably just reuse the existing battles maybe with mild variation. I'm not expecting some grand new content gameplay wise probably just something light based on what's been shown. The hardest part would probably be the cutscenes as you said and I'm not sure how possible that is.I don't think that's ever happening unless there is beta builds unveiled that had the cut third act/ending on it. I think it's technically canon, at least until Konami contradicts it later if they ever do. It was included on the special edition disc for a reason I think. If they didn't want anyone to see it, it wouldn't have been there in the first place. I think it was just the only way Kojima could get the true ending out the door since Konami wouldn't let them finish it the right way.Cut canon
The Cobra Unit Win WWII featuring multiplayer CTF mode where you try to keep Baby Ocelot out of the Philosophers' hands.Plus tbh I'm not even really sure where the hell the plot could go if they made a new Metal Gear game without some insane retardation or contrivance.
I think that was one of the cope theories about Death Stranding way back in the day before it finally came out and was revealed to be a boring walking sim. I wish I had some of those saved but there were a decent amount of people schizo posting and pointing out similar imagery in the DS trailers to imagery used in MGS before. The Cobra Unit Win WWII
I mean, it makes sense that if you ask your boss Kojima-san how you should animate the character who's a sad dad and also a ghost with fluid dripping down his face, Kojima is going to make pretty much the same hand gestures both times, 20 years apart. That's just what he thinks undead dads should look like.Like the dude from the teaser with the zombie soldiers or whatever in the sewer, people were outright speculating to be The Sorrow.

Making the "torture loving" "cat meowing" Revolver Ocelot the voice of reason in V was one of its many, many retarded moves.View attachment 8663847
- The name's Ocelot. Big Boss, you know who I am.
- A certain man gave me a job to do; two, actually. First was to get you out of that hospital, the second was to rescue the man himself.
- You remember? Your partner, nine years ago, Kazuhira Miller. Nine years back, your private army came under attack by Cipher. You, were considered dead, until today that is, when Cipher found you. And it's not just them. The whole world wants you dead.
- You'll have to join up with Miller, build that private army of yours one more time, it's your only chance.
- First we need to save Miller. He's in Afghanistan.
- Afghanistan?
- What? Can't keep up with world affairs in a coma?
And so on and so forth.
I may be a tourist in this thread, but as far as Metal Gear Solid is concerned, I'm an oldfag.
It kinda makes sense because he hypnotized himself to be Venom's babysitter. He's keeping the target dummy upright for as long as he can so his husbando can go hang out with an underage girl in Iraq and train his own clone to kill him later. That does make me question why Ocelot sat on the sidelines and did fuck all during Outer Heaven's uprising and Zanzibar Land though.Making the "torture loving" "cat meowing" Revolver Ocelot the voice of reason in V was one of its many, many retarded moves.
Someday, someone's going to be dumpster diving behind Konami and get stoked to find a hard drive labeled "MGSV cut content." And it's just fifteen minutes of Troy Ocelot drawling about how much he enjoys Quaaludes, with the same energy of the "slamming a long silver bullet into a well greased chamber" speech.Making the "torture loving" "cat meowing" Revolver Ocelot the voice of reason in V was one of its many, many retarded moves.
Okay why am I getting rated dumb? I actually don't get what you mean here. Normally I get it, but not here.[Me rambling about the cut MGSV ending]
Okay why am I getting rated dumb?
IN THE MIDDLE EAST, WE DON'T HUNT FOXES, WE HUNT JACKALSI rate anyone who still parrots the "Konami didn't let Kojima do it right" narrative as dumb. Because it is dumb.
But also, I'm pretty sure Kojimapro devs have come out and admitted it was cut early on because there was too much shit going on with the ending and Kojima wanted Quiet and the Venom Snake reveal to take priority.
Funny enough, I'm pretty sure that the reason Konami did include the ending was to explain the massive fucking plot string Kojima was going to not explain in the game at all without actually altering the story he had already finished. It would have probably been easier and make more sense to just remove Liquid and Mantis stealing the Metal Gear cutscene.
Anyways, saw this get posted and it made me laugh. Aviation nerd goes into how retarded the idea of Liquid taking on two F-16's with a Hind D is.
I see.I rate anyone who still parrots the "Konami didn't let Kojima do it right" narrative as dumb. Because it is dumb.
In that case then, fair. Very retarded move on Kojima's part.I'm pretty sure Kojimapro devs have come out and admitted it was cut early on because there was too much shit going on with the ending and Kojima wanted Quiet and the Venom Snake reveal to take priority.
Yeah that makes sense too. It probably would have been easier to just disable the cutscene or something. Not sure how my retarded ass didn't think of the idea that maybe it was Konami that did it because they knew Kojima was going to dick around and not actually finish the game. I've heard that theory before and tbh it'd make sense. Basically he intentionally left the game unfinished out of spite and was wasting as much of their time and money as he could get away with since they were clearly planning on firing him anyway.Funny enough, I'm pretty sure that the reason Konami did include the ending was to explain the massive fucking plot string Kojima was going to not explain in the game at all without actually altering the story he had already finished. Does Kojima even have kids? Is he even married? Ive never seen anything about him being married or having kids. I dont think he has any, even if married cause his kids would be in their late 20s rn if thats the case. People wouldve caught wind of them somewhere considering how much Kojima loves to brag about what he does on social media.I finally got around to watching some Brandon Cronenberg movies and was very pleasantly surprised, so that made me wonder: what are Kojima's kids up to?
I know he's pretty private about his family, but it seems like it's the right time to spot one or two in the credits. Assistant Butt Director or something.
He has a wife and two kids and that's all anyone knows. Autist or pretentious as he may be, Kojima has done a good job keeping his family safe from his fans.Does Kojima even have kids? Is he even married?
Supposedly he had the idea for Metal Gear while playing hide-and-seek with his son. Whether that's confirmed or just something that gets passed around as fact idk.Does Kojima even have kids?
