In addition to Heroism points, there's what's called "Demon Points." These are accumulated independently from Hero points and affect both the size of your horn and, when you hit a certain threshold, whether you are covered in blood and can't wash it off. Have you been playing the game especially violently? Also note you CAN lose Demon points, but going by the chart in the guide it seems to be pretty easy, as plenty of actions that give you Heroism points also remove Demon Points

sending your men on dispatch missions to dispose of nukes gains you a huge boost in hero points, while building a nuclear deterrent for Mother Base automatically turns you into Demon Snake. Y'know, in case you somehow failed to grasp Kojima's stance on nuclear proliferation

Since i cant resist this game anymore,i am downloading it on my pc through less than legal means,i am going to buy the xbone version anyway, but can a shitty hd 5670 1gb videocard run this?

Min specs say you need 2GB of VRAM. MGSV is a fantastic port, but it's not that good. That said if you're just pirating it I say try it anyway, developers have a tendency to overestimate specs like that.

Ground zeroes had a earlier and heavier fox engine and a hd 5670 ran on 40-60 fps on medium on 720p,if i can run at 30fps and 1080p i will be happy as fuck.
i wish pc had the amazing upscaling that the consoles have
720p on my 1080p monitor is horrible, but on the xbone,720p upscaled is fine

I've just been going Rambo on everyone and everything that doesn't have a rating of B or higher for their skills. I used a tranq gun at earlier parts but haven't really touched it or researched anything else. The horn I don't mind, but permablood sounds a little offputting.

Oh yeah, and another question but doesn't have many spoilers to it. I went to the medbay in Mother Base and got the cutscene people were talking about, but I keep noticing other doors around Mother Base with red lights on them. Any way to activate them? Or will it come later in the story?

A warning, you should prepare and have a lot of researched items be done before completing Mission 24 and 25:
as many of your soldiers will die until you finish Mission 29

All you need to do is look at your soldier's stats/skills and place anyone who speaks Kikongo in quarantine.

How many languages are actually spoken in the game? I've heard English (obviously), Russian, Pashto, Afrikaans, and I think a tape mentioned that there was a CFA squad that spoke Kikongo. I have troops that know Portuguese and stuff but does that ever come up?

There's also Spanish, Japanese (Only for Hideo), and I think Chinese. So far language isn't really a big deal except for at one point in the plot.

EDIT: Also there's Uzbek.

Was trying to do Mission 10.
You can't fulton the target because he's badly injured and you have to transport him to the helicopter.
God fucking dammit.

I finished Traitors' Caravan...

God fucking DAMN did this mission put my GMP 100k into the red! The payout from the mission alone barely brought me out of it, and now I want to invest in battle dress first chance I get. Damn The Skulls, man.

I listened to the advice earlier in this thread to bring D-Walker along and damn was it useful. What did you spend all that GMP on? iirc dying and retrying costs nothing

so when do you get Lord Kojima?

ok shouldnt be too hard.

Supply drops and weapon changes for the most part. Also I'm pretty sure fultoning materials containers set me back a bit. If I had known the mission would have been that hard, I would have just came back to the containers later lol.

Yeah, but I didn't want to ruin that surprise (my first batch also had another thing in common that throw me off even if I guesssed the method

So, without spoiling anything, how is MGS5?

I plan to get it sometime later when there's a price drop or for my birthday, but I want to see what you guys think of it.

Really good, the entire game is gigantic and there's a whole lot you can do and many different ways of doing it. It's probably worth doing Ground Zeroes first though.
