Myles has to be a self-insert character. Whatever retard decided MCU humor characters work in 2025 deserves to be fired.

>Moshi moshi goy-kun, small artisan Nintendo desu. You need to buy Amiibo to get music to pray when you are in empty open word or it's sirent.
dog. I can already IMAGINE stupid ass arguments:

"just play the soundtrack on your phone while you play the game, do you not have a phone?"
"The game is supposed to atmospheric, if anything having nothing is better"
"I'm sure they'll add it to their paid music app later for free as a reward"

people waiting over 30 years to either buy a McDonalds toy to hear the soundtrack, or have it playing on their phone.
that's just funny

It's wild that the thing the first new Metroid Prime game in 18 years will be most well known for is being an unofficial sequel to Forespoken.
I can already see Oney and friends clowning hard on Miles, especially Zach. He especially hated how Forspoken was written.

There are multiple modern audience characters that are major parts of the game and you will spend the majority of the time with them yapping in your ear or escorting them through the linear setpiece levels. The nerd phones you up ever 10 minutes to tell you what to do next, and after you complete an area to remind you what just happened and what to do next. Read my effortpost a couple pages back for more detail
So it's basically Death Stranding for Nintendo fanboys? Only way more linear?
I think the funniest part of all this is all the nintendo fan boys upset that there are people who don't like the game and are criticizing it. They keep screaming that it's an 8/10 game! What? 8/10 games are bad now? Yes. Most games that are tent pole games have massively inflated scores. Since when did people start trusting and believing in game journalists?
8/10 for a current year Nintendo game is basically 7/10. ie, only play if you have nothing better to do.

Ya' know, a thought occured to me when I got lost in MP2 why MP4 partly has the overworld. It's a half-assed palate cleanser that appeals to newfags and low IQ who otherwise wouldn't like MP's labryinthian level design and can't handle it if they ever got lost. "bro tfs wit all these hallways nigga? tf do I fkn GO NIGGA shits so ASS rn! mf cant fast travel?? bro FUK this Halo clone headass"
This would also tie in to why the levels are on par with MOM's linearity too and throw the tutorialisation in there becasue of Miles. It's casualisation at it's finest that Nitendos's been doing since the fuckin' Wii era and especially with their long running series that haven't gotten new games in years IE.) Pikmin, M&L, Airride and MP.

Also what's the likelehood this game'll sell like shit? I can't imagine all this negative reception will sell BEYOND 2mil. copies and considering the dev hell costs, in restrospect Nintendo might not even bother with another 3D Metroid again.

He didn't rage quit he just restarted the game because it was faster than back tracking.
That thumbnail's going to age poorly as his playthrough continues, I guarantee it. Hope the initial ""ironic"" engadgement bait was worth it for the short-lived topical metrics.

What they are leaving out is the ambient 'music' is the same ambient soundtrack used in all the areas while they are powered down, it is not unique to the desert and you will hear it for the majority of the game, as the power on sections are only linear combat sequences or if you decide its worth your time left on this earth to backtrack through the linear areas for ammo upgrades. They frontloaded the soundtrack, only the forest area and the factory area are memorable to me and I find the factory area stuck in my head since playing.

Yeah. They're posting lazy 10/10 one sentence reviews on metacritic but the mixed and negative ones are gaining ground and it looks like it'll fall to at least an 8 on the user rating.

After seeing a lot more I really think this game is a 7/10. It just got a +1 from the Nintendo boost. I think there's some neat stuff in the game (I liked the ice belt and volt forge) it's just surrounded by mediocrity.
Out of curiosity, what score/10 would you give it to skong?

Major critics will see the graphics and go "yeah this is amazing" then will look at miles and say "I do not like it but i'm sure the fans will, no need to look online about it". I could go further but I think I made my point about game reviewers, they are most likely gonna be very surface level.

I just morphed into a ball... with my freaking mind
Yep, that's just something I do now.

Seems to be either a 6 or a 7. The problem nowadays is that everyone wants something mid to be an unmitigated disaster because that's good for grifting and clout. I don't doubt the game is flawed since I have working eyes, but having a conversation about what worked and what didn't gets harder and harder with releases like this.

Beat the game and I have to agree with the 6/10 and 7/10 reviews.

The game is a generic sci-fi hallway shooter with a Metroid coat of paint. The levels are completely linear like in Other M so again the developers forgot that there is a genre named after the old games. The "open world with a bike" is like all other open worlds ever so it is just a large emptiness with nothing in it. The lack of new powerups is evident and amplified with the fact that some of the old classics are just renamed like the "psychic power bomb" with no actual changes to how they work or how they are used. The npc troopers were annoying and the high points of the game were when you didn't need to babysit anyone.

The best analogue I can think for the comparison of Prime 4 and the older Prime games is Elden Ring compared to Dark Souls.

It's already been changed, lol. Though I don't know if it's for consistency for subsequent videos or if it was done because changing thumbnails can sometimes make videos appear again on the algorithm. Other meme thumbnails have stayed up, though.
