Game has been great so far! I could easily see myself sinking 500 hours in the first few months if I don't watch myself, and I can safely say that Edmund has indeed delivered.
The only strange thing about it is that the game has been going... pretty easy?
I'm not sure if this is my Tactics RPG brain has fried for playing too many hours of Fire Emblem on the hardest difficulty and insane difficulty romhacks. But I really was expecting to get my butt handed over thousands of times... and my journey has been nothing but smooth sailling.
The only time I have lost a cat was when they Feline AIDS (yes, that's a real thing in this game) which made them have 1 HP, so screw me I guess lol.

I even have beaten the cave boss with everyone at full HP, I also even managed to beat 90% of my battles in under 2-3 rounds consistently too (all in hard path btw).
I do know that I only got 13 out of 281 achievements so far, so there's indeed A LOT more content to be discovered, but also idk, Isaac has traumatized me so much that I kinda expected to be stuck in the first "chapters" for dozens of hours... but no, the game difficulty curve is actually well adjusted.
It's an easy game... but also incredibly fun, which hey, it's all it matters really. I also do have to reminds myself that this is only the beginning, so I kinda expect to see the last "true final boss" to be able to kill all my units in 2 rounds unless I minmaxx and breed the perfect clowder of cats with autism and down syndrome.
Mage has been my favorite class so far, it's so funny how some of their skills have unlimited range and busted damage output if you play your cards right. They also interact a lot with the environment which I really adore.
And while I said the game has been easy so far, I'm also quite impressed with the enemy AI, sometimes they just throw the rocks at you or even push you in a corner so you can't escape. They're a bit goofy when walking around the map and have a tendency on stepping in the negative tiles, but still, pretty nice.
