This tinker is the most useless I got yet. But look at the collection of mutations it "acquired" over the course of the run lmao. "Woman" indeed.

You should let that boss eat one of your cats, you don't need to interact with the gimmick at all.
Or just do what I did and familiar-spam it to death. Over 11 rounds. With its brace intact. *yawn*

This picture is from a few rounds earlier.

I would say this made me profoundly stupid, but to be fair it was like 12am and I wasn't thinking straight enough to read the specifics of the gimmick. Also my Cleric had Thou Shalt Not Kill and my Necromancer had the "surround enemy with leeches" spell so I was basically cheating.

I meant for runs where you can't either maneuver the hands or just outright kill him.

If you let him eat one of your cats that cat becomes able to order the hands to attack him

I beat the kaiju fight and got all the act 2 quest items, beat the throbbing king at least twice and currently going through the lab.

My issue is that I can't seem to breed good cats, either my cats won't mate (suspect it is due to age) or I can't seem to find a decent stray to avoid inbreeding
I am stacking the comfort and stimulation items in a single room in hopes of producing better cats, while the second room has enough comfort to stop cats from fighting and same with the third room except I put the idols there to keep old cats from dying and inbreed cats from mating.

I am very interested in the breeding aspect of this game and seeing different emerging behavior from the cats. I do not know if gay cats will reproduce among other fags so I am putting all of the queer faggots in the attic. I wish I had more time to breed different cats and see different results, yet I do not wish to have to play the combat aspect every 5 days. I still find it fun but I find myself getting hooked for an hour per run.

I just unlocked the "Tower of Evolution" which makes my cats look weirder, it gave my cats long legs; I will be looking into that.

From my anecdotal experience, gay cats prefer to initiate sex with the same sex and usually decline the opposite, but not always. I don't know exactly what the conditions for this are or if it's just a chance based thing, I do know that if two cats are bonded and love each other this supersedes orientation, but I've seen gay cats with no bonds still breed with the opposite sex. You can also just put them with ? cats and they'll breed no problem

Cleared the Core boss today. Again, lost a cat due to my own stupidity. Had a tank who pinballed between my druid (who had that Knockback 2 item on contact) and the boss until the druid keeled over from impact damage. By itself, that's not an issue, but I also summoned zombo kittens in the previous round from the necronomicon I found who promptly ate the otherwise healthy druid. :lossmanjack:

Water hose OP in those levels though. Don't think my fights leading up to the boss would have been as clean without an easy source of water.

How do you assign shapes to your cats? Because I've unlocked that upgrade but I think my game is bugged because I cannot see the option anywhere.

Click their names after right-clicking the cats themselves. Also note that you can only add one shape at a time (I said, seething). If you've done it right, the shape you chose will display above the cat's head and to the left of its name at all times (save for in battles)

Had a fell of a run beating moonman. Started with Cleric Tinker Butcher Tank. 1st floor went good; cleric had that Holy Fire perk and I thought he would carry the game (2x damage and inflicts burn)

The Cratermaker gibbed my cleric and fucked with my entire team. Worst of all he tanked my FPS into single digits. Turn order/animations are FPS locked so that was a chore. Fortunately the tinker was able to make nurse bots so all was ok.

Then I had to reset the game twice because aliens would keep throwing my cats into a black hole. Before the moon boss I encountered a room with 1 astrocat and 8 rocks. The astro kept my tank stunned which meant he banked moves from a perk. As soon as he woke up he ate all the stone enemies with the eat stone+ ability.

I tried beating the man on the moon the intended way (cat inside, stop hitting yourself, while tinker spawned turrets+) but I ultimately just ate him with eat rock+ 20x a turn.

In the lab now and I grt the same problems everyone complains about in the reviews. Melee classes are useless because of instagibs and zooming enemies. Enemies can just stun you and kill you before you make a move. Melee instakill enemies that make your melee guys useless. On top of that you need to grind furniture/gold and have good cats roundstart, otherwise enemies will just stomp you. Bosses take 3x/4x turns etc. Then you roll a shitty ability and the run is done before you even begin.

What I like about this game in particular is that it really can surprise you at almost every turn. From amusing meow cameos of people you recognize, to goofy ability combination, to strange enemies, to various rare events. Its really something you got to experience in a complete information vacuum to get the best first hand experience

I finally booted up Mewgenics last night and played for about an hour, did the tutorial and beat The Alley on 2nd attempt.

I'm surprised how much I'm enjoying it. I fucking suck at games like these, but the sheer amount of charm is amazing: How the music works, the synergies in gameplay, the retarded ways cats look, the stupid fucking meows, the downright bizarre breeding animations (I have it on Random so I can see them all), the NPCs that I love to hate, the little radio bumpers when you return to your house. Everything about it that I saw in that first hour feels like a kind of game I haven't seen in I don't know how long.

Now I have to figure out how to sell normies on this shit, most people I know would get weirded out immediately.
