Micheal Keaton in talks to return as Batman in the DCEU - This might actually be really good.

DAMMIT. I only wish it was Val Kilmer so I could use this image completely unironically.

Remember when I was Batman.jpg

I guess Michael Keaton coming back is okay. But I don't know if one actor can salvage terrible writing, set design, awful computer generated effects and a parade of terrible co-stars.

And Danny Elfman theme.
I allowed myself to get really excited when it was announced that Elfman was scoring Justice League and bringing back his Batman theme (he even got to use John Williams’s Superman theme with sinister overtones), but ultimately I shouldn’t have expected Elfman to write a score today the same way he did 25 years prior. It wasn’t bad, perhaps too workman-like, but it doesn’t come close to his two Batman scores. Incidentally, he hated the way the score was mixed in Batman Returns since a lot of his really intricate work was covered by sound effects, which is why a lot of his post-1992 action stuff is a lot simpler.

Cool idea but it's just for a role in the Flash?

Why not make a full on third film in that Tim Burton continuity with Keaton back? Bring back that art style and everything, that'd be fucking amazing.

I wouldn't say no to a new Tim Burton or at least Burton-esque Batman film but since they're doing the multiverse thing to explain his return, I'd imagine you'd get to see at least some token Anton Furst-inspired set design within the Michael Keaton universe.

Apparently the role is to take over from Ben Affleck and become the Nick Fury of the DCEU and mentor the younger heros.

The whole DCEU thing is confusing by this point, he's supposed to be the same exact Batman as Affleck's, not the Tim Burton one?
