Jesse Singal writes about Cernovich smearing some guy as a pedo:

nothing in there about this being some kind of weird retaliation for MDE: World Peace getting cancelled. also it doesn't help Singal's credibility (and by extension, this Vic Berger guy) that Singal is/was part of the "Nyberg dindu nuffin" crowd.

vic and heidecker discuss how crazy cernovich is after they trolled him

They talked about him 35 minutes in, lasts about ten minutes. It's good until the end when Tim asks his fans to call the place hosting Cernovich's ball thing and ask them not to host it. I like Tim, not sure who Vic is, but he needs to lay off the calling out internet people. Why stop the Deporaball? Only hilarity can come from all these self-important e-celebs having their little party/dance/circlejerk thing. Like, you're a comedian. Just make fun of them.

Dated 2 indian girls and they were not difficult to "close". I guess you just have to be not Gorilla, but Chimp.

Today in muh branding, Sthernobitch decides Amazon Sales Rank is super important and makes him more popular than Lena Dunham and therefore he's important. He also takes time to fellate MILO[sic] and Vox Day, which should come as little surprise to anybody who noticed them bonding to make their own alt-right axis when they were working the culture war angle in Goobergrope.

That's a wonderful trend with these supposed alpha types: their repeated need to find metrics where they're winning (at least versus their perceived opponents) and hammer on them. I wonder if this Amazon Sales Rank thing will become almost reflexive like how Vox Day has regular updates on how his blog is doing so much better than John Scalzi's in pageviews. From the lazy armchair one might speculate they have something they're compensating for.

Cernovich is even funnier because he more than once challenged people who criticized/disagreed with him to a "charity boxing match", as if squaring off with someone because of Twitter shitposting was the "alpha" thing to do (it only proves that you have no argument). I always hoped that some MMA-enthusiastic SJW would take him on his challenge and just beat the shit out of him, or at least made him pull an Uwe Boll after Seanbaby took on his "punch the critics" challenge.

For someone that claims to be so alpha, he has this strange need to square off his epeen against the most bizarre people. Lena Dunham, really? Whatever makes you sleep at night to regrow those neurones, champ.

I'm finding it very hard to believe that this guy is qualified to practice law.
I've heard of the guy and he's a little shady. Allegedly while he does have a law degree he may have never practiced, and supposedly the money for his 'empire' was the result of a 6 figure divorce settlement he inherited from his ex-wife rather than money he made from blogging or following the advice in his book despite his alleged 'rags to riches' story.

I've read Gorilla Mindset and it's actually a good book, but it doesn't sound like Mike does on his blog, so part of that makes me think he just took ideas from better authors and put them in the book and then marketed it as his own:

Cernovich actually used to be considered not-entirely-batshit in the legal blogging field, back when he founded Crime & Federalism and it wasn't wholly transformed into yet-another-microblog to stroke his ego and sell his books and "brand".

Scott Greenfield (blogging at Mimesis Law) interviewed him last year and right off the bat they discuss his mental issues, so it's a known thing. You can see where the massive chips on his shoulder come from. I'd find him rather sympathetic if this interview was all I had to go on for him, because there has been some real shit in his past; I don't, however, buy that that washes away the utterly bizarre way in which he has decided to cope with this stuff (namely by giving in to his utter and acknowledged lack of social inhibitions and letting that be his public face now rather than exerting some level of self control).

The dude's hilarious because he says whacky things and has some whacky associates. He still can be rather competent when he chooses to drop the shtick, but the shtick is his bread and butter these days so it's not likely. He's probably made himself rather unemployable as an attorney, but he is still one, and I won't impugn him on that as much as I might point and laugh at, say, Charles Carreon (who is something a lolcow while in the actual practice of law, versus a lolcow who happens to be able to practice law).
