Mike Judge and Comedy Central are "reimagining" Beavis and Butt-Head for Gen Z

I re-watched the "newer" Futurama episodes from when it was brought back, and it is like a completely different show. Some episodes aren't bad, but there's some episodes where they're blatantly pushing an agenda and its preachiness is so over the top that it just comes across as propaganda, rather than a TV show... even if you don't disagree with the message, it's still so preachy that you can't stand it.

The original run still holds up.

I thought the original run of Futurama was up it’s own ass towards the end and many of the episodes are unwatchable. The movies were not quite a return to form but nowhere near the levels of navel gazing in the last season or two. The CC revival was okay but I agree felt like an entirely new show that reused the characters.

A lot of the Futurama writers were the same writers that were responsible for Zombie Simpsons. They’re all a bunch of nerds so I understand why the first few seasons of Futurama worked because it was a way for them to geek out. I watched all seasons and movies last year and a lot of it just does not hold up.

When it was on Fox it was great show. When it came back for the movies and CC it was garbage. I don't really care much for the show anymore after I found out that Billy West is a top secret asshole diddler.

Same here. I mark anything I enjoyed as a teen as suspect. There's a lot of stuff I suspect I'd wouldn't like if I watched it now like Wayne's World or The Crow.

I was a teenager when Wayne's World was in theatres and I never stopped loving it. Then again, I've watched it at least once a year pretty much since 1992. I'm not sure how someone who enjoyed it in the 1990s but who hasn't revisited it for a while would react to it.

Was there any more to this or just speculation in a pedowood thread on 4chan?

The only good episode when they came back was the one when they kept going forward in time. It felt like a proper sci fi story.

Either the body switching episode or the fast and furious parody where i couldn't lie to myself anymore and had to admit their return was a dud.

Beavis and Butthead in Virtual Stupidity got a PS1 port exclusive to Japan, while America only got it for PC.

The voice acting is terrible, and you don't even need to know Japanese to recognize it:

I don't know about all of you, but for me the only proper way to watch Beavis and Butthead is in Japanese with English subs.

What was wrong with the body switching episode? That was one of the best ones IMO.
I'd have a hard time believing Daria is anything but asexual.
If you actually watched the show you'd know she had two love interests over the course of it.

I only saw very little of the CC revival but one thing I do remember sticking out like a sore thumb was a rant Leela goes on about how stupid the storyline to The Matrix is, that felt so shoehorned in.

The robot characters, the kid saying "diplomacy is cool!" (Or something to that effect) at the UN and the collective internet nerdgasm over the math equation just didn't jive with me

She's not. She was into Tom.

I think the last time I saw Daria was during it's original air dates.
🤷‍♂️

EDIT: Yeah, it came out when I was 9 years old and I doubt I could have related to it like I could B&B. I guess I just didn't remember since that was over 20 years ago.
