Vice President Mike Pence would have been in high school when ABBA's Dancing Queen hit the charts. He'll have the opportunity for some nostalgia on Friday in Columbus when drag queens and LGBT advocates hold a dance party outside his hotel.

Pence is scheduled to speak at the Renaissance Hotel Friday afternoon. The Vice President has long been criticized for his stance on LGBT rights. While governor of Indiana, he signed the 2015 Religious Freedom Restoration Act, which some said encouraged discrimination.

Pence's visit comes on the first day of Columbus Pride weekend. He will be special guest at an event titled “Tax Cuts to Put America First” discussing the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act.

"Ohioans will protest Vice President Mike Pence...by dancing outside the hotel and performances including DJs and drag queens," said press release from event co-sponsor ProgressOhio.

The event has been dubbed "The Big Gay Dance Party"

"We want to counter that anti-LGBT attitude that they have with a big, positive, loving dance party," said Jay Smith, one of the organizers."

This isn't the first time LGBT activists have challenged Pence through the art of dance. Before Trump inauguration, a dance party was held outside his rental home in Washington, D.C.

The Pence family was also trolled after the Vice-President's daughter wrote a children's book from the perspective of the family rabbit. John Oliver of HBO's "This Week Tonight" launched a parallel book in which the family rabbit, Marlon Bundo, is wrestling with his sexuality. The parody book became a New York Times bestseller.

The parody book became a New York Times bestseller.
The parody book being incredibly petty aside, being a "New York Times bestseller" isn't an accomplishment nor anything to be proud of. Do you know how many of those there are? For reference a ton of them are those garbage romance novels about shirtless cowboys that get churned out on a weekly basis.

Not to mention there's no public record of the process the NYT uses to determine what constitutes a bestseller, and considering books that have been at the top spot on Amazon US for weeks mysteriously still aren't on the list, the New York Times Bestseller List really is just a list of books journos at the Times think you should be reading, pleb.

So no shit a parody book making fun of a Republican politician's family is on the list.

It's funny because all of these stunts are based off of some smear piece back during the election claiming Pence funded some anti-gay shock treatment thing. Also because he has religious convictions. This causes certain people to freak out almost as much as they do at the Trump/Russia conspiracy theories.

Anyways here's Pence swearing in the ambassador to Germany with his husband. After this photo was taken the husband committed suicide via 5 shots in the back while the ambassador was struck by lighting and miraculously became straight.

Okay somehow I missed that entire event with the parody book. That's just pointlessly mean, the daughter aint done anything to these fucking degenerates.

Also I'd consider people hosting loud parties outside my home as harassment. Sure does seem like it'd make him have a positive opinion about fags doesn't it?

Do they think the family is really disturbed by this shit?

Yes, because THEY are so disturbed by the public presence of a religious Republican office-holder who doesn't approve of homosexuality, they assume he must feel the same way towards them. I.E. - he hurts their feelings by being not-gay in front of them, so , let's hurt HIS feelings by being GAY in front of HIM and see how HE likes it! (spoiler: he doesn't care)

This is the same as a child looking at his parents, making a funny face and saying "THIS IS YOU!!! NYAAHHHHHH!!!!!'

It would hurt THEM to be mocked, ergo, doing it worse in return MUST hurt MORE! Ignorant of the fact that mature and reasonable people are immune to the effects of mockery.

Being flamboyant is that funny face and dance that a spoiled kid does when his Mom tells him he can't have any more candy before dinner.

And therein lies the ironic twist, when these special snowflake groups harp on you 24/7 for being evil Hitler, and you finally say, "Okay, fine, I really do hate you" , and they turn to the public for their usual shame mob response, and the public instead says "You know, we don't blame him" they have no idea HOW it happened.

This also covers the ineptitude of SJWs trying to turn "snowflake" back against the mean people who hurt their feefees by correctly identifying them as overly sensitive and "special."

Jesus, we get it, Pence "hates" the gays. Shut up with that.

I can imagine this happening in the Columbus that Pence hails from too (Indiana, not Ohio). It's a hick town, but the inflow of Cummins employees probably makes it pretty liberal.
