My theory, for the moment, is that Mike uses the typical lolcow mentality of "anyone who doesn't adore me is my sworn enemy". He hates you, not because of anything you did, but because you actually talked to him like a reasonable adult. What he wants is for you to pat him on the head, tell him how persecuted he is, and agree that he's a genius.

I don't see that as being necessarily the definition of "centricism" that @chekovia intended. I read it as simply being a mean between any two extreme views, which could apply to most topics. Including, for example, the topic of how you misinterperit people's behavior toward you and overreact accordingly. Hopefully, if I'm wrong on that and chekovia was, in fact, referring specifically to border issues, he or she can correct me.
