If Mike gets his stuff from old times back then does he believe the earth is flat too
Yes.

(Since Mikey can't tell factual sources from fiction)
ETA I doubt that Mike has ever read any of the Discworld series because his mind is so one-dimensional that he'd probably get frustrated at all the shifts in storyline, chimp out, call the late Terry Pratchett a lying like and throw the books away.

Because clines are too gradual to place into distinct categories. Race isn't discrete, considering there is gene flow between different populations.

Yes, we do, but like I said humans don't have subspecies because we're all homo sapiens sapiens, you say it here:

Sapiens sapiens is a subspecies of Homo sapiens. It's a concrete category because there's a significant difference between homo sapiens sapiens and what's argued to be our direct ancestors homo sapiens idaltu. There's not enough variation between different races to consider them to be subspecies.

It's a toss up, really. A small fraction of genetic variation does in fact occur between clusters, that's for sure, but then again if you were to walk from Africa all the way to Siberia, there'd be no set location where dark skin ends and light skin begins. I personally don't consider it a black and white issue, although I personally place more emphasis on clines. Fact still remains that two people from the same race are about as different from each other and two people from other races.

You didn't answer these questions and are repeating yourself.

Why can't we divide clines in categories? We do it with other subspecies. Is human variation primarily clustered or clinal? What's your data? Sapiens sapiens is a subspecies, how is that a concrete category and not race? How do you define both of those categories?

We divide continua arbitrarily all the time. It's called operationalisation. Is human variation a perfect continuum? What's your data? On what criteria do you construct the category sapiens sapiens? Interfertility? Do you really think I define race by skin color?

You're now saying there's not "enough" differentiation. Quantify enough, and contrast it with other subspecies.

Because you reasoning is based on science that is based on 20s and 30s.

That article referenced a 2014 genomic analysis to overturn the received wisdom on genetic diversity patterns supporting Out of Africa theory.

@Mikemikev - You could learn a thing or two from this guy, who just discovered he was the subject of a thread here:

Thanks! I didn't come here to just yell and be angry. Everyone has a right to their own opinion. I am no better than anyone else. I am interested to hear what people think, and if I can change a mind or two, then awesome! If not, that's cool too. I like weird things, and if I'm a freak or a weirdo for that, cool. I am stable, educated, and pretty darn happy. My goals in life are just that, and to help others and to be happy.

Guess what? He has gotten positive post ratings (and not a single negative one at the time of me posting this) and is being received respectfully and politely by members here.

I thought this site was full of slanderers, gaslighters, victim-blamers and abusers? Still convinced that how people treat you has absolutely nothing to do with how you act?

I'm pretty fucking late to the party...

But goddamn @Mikemikev, I speak no hyperbole when I say you must be one of the most unlikable individuals I have ever witnessed.

Just watch, you'll say mean things to me now, trying to prove me a monster.

To Mike, anyone that's not him is a terrible person.

He's exhausted from running away from debates. He really should stretch before that kind of exertion.

When people don't want to talk to you do you think it's because they're scared? I'm in the middle of the debating the race concept right now, here. Would you like to contribute some of your brilliant insights?
