Exactly this. Mike has had numerous opportunities to have the debate in multiple formats. Each time, the end result has been him backing away and busying himself with some other activity, usually either hosting a pity party for himself or IP phishing. Sometimes both. The fact that Mike now freely admits that his idea of a "debate" is that of a high school forensics exercise shows that he isn't prepared to deal with actual facts and arguments, and that he's already learned to never enter into a discussion where he cannot control the dialog completely. Even here, where the conversation has never approached what could be called a "debate", Mike drops the topic the second you ask him to explain or clarify anything. This is because he's found to be copy-and-pasting other works, isn't posting his own ideas, and therefore is useless when it comes to dissecting and analyzing any given point. Mike thinks saying 'Google this' or 'read that book' is a brilliant deflection tactic, when in reality, anyone who's used to scholarly analysis will see that as the mark of someone who's desperate to end the conversation.I don't understand the hold up here. If Mike wants the debate in public, just have it either in this thread, or make a thread for it. If he wants it in private, then just do it in PMs here or on Facebook or Skype or something, and then post the logs here once you're done. If Mike's afraid of the other guy altering the logs, then he can post his own version, or even have a third party be an arbitrator.
If Mike wanted this debate, he easily could have made it happen by now.
I can't vouch for SF or any of the other places Mike has decided to grace with his presence, but it's pretty clear that KF isn't impressed with his mental endowments. And for some reason, that seems to really upset him.
