Militant Autistics

The problem with "militant autistics" is they're socially unaware and expect asspats because they got beat up in high school for having social problems and probably being a fanboy, and they're vocal about their "oppression" which makes it so that autistics who actually try to act decent (or at least compensate by antagonizing other spergs) lumped in with the special snowflakes.

This is why actual autists with any sense aren't going to boast about it, even if they have had to do things to cope with it and function normally enough to pass. Because people hear "I have autism" and they have only ever heard that from people who act like total assholes and use it as an excuse for acting like total assholes.

It's like an epileptic who keeps getting in car crashes and says "I'm epileptic" as an excuse. That guy has a responsibility to control his condition with medication and will be criminally prosecuted and/or sued if he knows he's epileptic and continues driving without treating it.

Same with the autist who acts like an asshole over and over again and uses "I'm autistic" as an excuse. The proper response isn't asspats. It's "okay, what are you going to do about it?"

The only difference is we can't really criminalize simply being an asshole or socially awkward (until said asshole does actually commit crimes) - we have ostracism for that.

Also it's not inherently dangerous to lack social skills unless some sperg is fucking a 9-year-old because he can't get laid by someone his age, or he's serial killing his high school bullies over them picking on his lack of social skills.

I see it less as an epileptic getting into car crashes and more akin to ADF (or basically tumblr works just as well) being a foul dickwad, burning bridges with everyone under the sun, including his own family, and using his oppressed translatinx identity as an excuse. Being an asshole with no social skills doesn't necessarily hurt anyone but said asshole, whereas crashing your car in an epileptic seizure can kill other people.

So it's wrong for people to defend themselves if they're wrongfully lumped in with people like CWC? :wow:
As far as I know, society at large doesn't really know nor care about CWC or who he is, so it's irrational to think he will suddenly become a poster child for autism despite what some A-loggers have insisted in the past. He's just some random crossdresser who lives with his mom, not Magneto. I used to worry about the same thing until I realized this.

It's also pretty telling how some people are posting shit like "If someone got bullied in school, they probably deserved it."

I'm not saying it's wrong, I'm just saying that around here, it's a waste of time.

I can't speak for everyone, but for me, there's a clear distinction in my mind between intentionally being an asshole (which I'll admit is fun as fuck sometimes) and accidentally being an asshole. I feel awful if I say/do something that upsets someone by accident. It happens a lot because I don't get things, but I don't sit around using excuses. It's an explanation, sure, but I hate it and I do want to learn how to, you know, not make people feel like shit when I don't mean to.

Not just autists. Pretty much anyone who moves in SocJus circles uses this strategy. It's a great way to shield yourself from the consequences of your actions.

Step 1: Identify yourself as X, where X can be your race, gender, sexuality, weight, mental state... pretty much anything.

Step 2: Sperg out on the social media of your choice.

Step 3: When called out for being a sperg, shout: “OMG you hate me because I’m X! X-phobia! (Patriarchy/transmisogyny/truscum/rape culture/mansplaining/gaslighting/tone policing/fatshaming!)” Bask in the asspats from the white knights who will rush to defend you for being X.

Those who are most vocal about their autism tend to be a lot like Chris in many ways. If you see the need to defend yourself from such a statement, the only logical conclusion I can draw from that is that you see elements of yourself in Chris, and this makes it a personal issue for you. Hence, you are not wrongly, but rightfully lumped in with Chris.

It's better for weird people to deal with the fallback from being weird early in life, then to have their first experience with it later in life and be unable to handle it. If you are acting like a exceptional individual, of course people are going to treat you like one. It's far easier to correct someone's socially unacceptable behavior when they are young, then to try and do so when they are older.

In my experience, no matter what your limitations or disabilities might be, nothing excuses you from being a shitty person.

Chris's parents basically convinced him that his autism gives him the excuse to behave any way he wants, instead of teaching him how to function properly in the real world. I often wonder how he would have turned out if his parents actually gave a shit?

I'd say let's just look at Chris as a cautionary tale as to what will happen if you don't raise your kids right. Autism is no excuse, there are people far less functional making something of themselves in the real world.

Apparently, though, as evidenced by this thread, this is not always the case...

Well, I know that CWC (thankfully) isn't autism's poster boy in society.

Pretty much everyone on this forum is autistic or weird. Kinda makes announcing that you're autistic pretty pointless don't you think? :spudking:
At least our autism is chronicling others' autism in some kind of sperg-ception. And sometimes others' autism happens to be something that may be useful to someone somewhere, so we may be doing the world a favor to some extent.

Goddamnit @cat that loveshy thread... I can't even wrap my mind around all that autism. My IQ must not be at Autist levels i guess.

Mrz has been trying to "hack" the farms for the past three months because of our crimes against autistics.

As if saying mean things about something or someone is a "crime", unless you live in some SJW-controlled shithole.

I was thinking more along the lines of being in a collective and having to do menial chores to earn their keep, and also learning to stick up for themselves without crying about how they're special.

Also to powerlevel a bit here, I'm diagnosed with Aspergers and I was the one beating up kids in school. The only time anyone really tried to hurt me in school was in middle school, and I just got right back up and slammed him into one of the lockers and made him literally cry from pain, then we both got community service.
Powerlevel here, but I went to high school with 2 Aspie kids who were Aspie supremacists and huge jerks. They actually got expelled (though one was allowed back the next year)

I find it bad enough when people claim a fictional character is on the spectrum because they're socially awkward or whatever, but I really hate posthumous diagnoses. People claim that because Einstein didn't care about fashion or Jefferson was shy that they must have had Asperger's. This article http://www.jonathans-stories.com/non-fiction/undiagnosing.html is the only criticism of this practice that I've managed to find.
