Mindhunter

The opening and closing scenes of season 2 were genuinely awful and terrifying.

So Berkowitz, Manson, Paul Bateson, Wayne Henley, Tex Watson, the return of Ed Kemper, and introducing proto-black nerd Wayne Williams. Am I forgetting anyone? The guy who played Berkowitz was really good.

I wonder if they’ll do Green River/Bundy next season.

That would be great. I was annoyed how they had them interview son of Sam for info on btk, which literally never happened. It just seemed like an odd choice. I think they spend slightly too long on the btk segments, imo it'd work better if they were doing that with Bundy instead, since for the time frame would have a quicker payoff. (I do get what they're doing with him, juxtapositioning btk with the more fit the mold killers. I just don't really see what the eventual payoff will be aside from maybe an ending card "And then 20+ years later Dennis Raider was caught and is currently in prison").

Season 3 officially on hold: https://www.etonline.com/mindhunter...as-shows-future-put-on-indefinite-hold-139647

Fincher is currently working on a movie for Netflix about Herman Mankiewicz - the screenwriter of Citizen Kane - and supposedly wants to release another season of Love, Death, Robots so Mindhunter as of now is officially on the backburner. They said the plan is to have 5 total seasons (last presumably being BTK) but we won't be seeing Season 3 for a few years (no different than the gap between 1 & 2, really).
