Minecraft Update Removes Mentions Of Notch, The Game's Creator - Begone Wrongthinker

Notch has turend into a redpilling madman, he made his twitter bio link to QAnon for awhile and shares very spicy hot takes about troons and the lot.

Someone on twitter said it best.

“In 2011 I wanted to be like you and launch a crazy successful video game”

“Now in 2019 I still want to be you by selling my video game for billions and shit post on twitter all day”

Notch retains credit in the credit screen, which satisfies all legal mandates. If he sues them then he's a lolcow pure and simple (which he is very close to being anyways).

I am surprised it took them this long to take him out of player-facing situations, especially considering how he kept getting into dumb Twitter fights with equally-dumb people.

This really throws a wrench in the “MS is less censorship happy than Sony” claim. Sony’s awful, dirty dogshit who should drown in soy tard cum, but MS are also shitters, just less blatant shitters

Is it MS who mandated this, though? Not saying it isn't, but Mojang is technically it's own entity, just owned by MS. They can make their own decisions, too. Don't forget, they're Swedish.

Edit:
Definitely not saying they're not though. Many of you are unaware of this but if you look at .NET reference sources on MSDN you might find a comment above some source code that says "**** condition", which used to say "race condition". That's right, they ran a fucking filter over their own in-house source code to remove the word "race", even when it didn't refer to ethnicity. So, they are that insane. Just wondering if Mojang is also that insane, all on their own.

Either way, SIEA, Mojang, MS Game Studios...they’re all made of danger hair gamer gorls and morbidly obese soybearded faggots

IIRC Notch has no interest in suing. I think he deleted the tweet, but he said something along the lines of wanting to distance himself from the game anyways.

Also as funny as his twitter has become, he's started sounding a lot like a friend of mine in the leadup to going on a psychotic break. I'm hoping it's a language barrier thing.

Notch is probably the cautionary tale on why too much money at once can sometimes become more of a curse than a blessing. There's literally nothing worse in life than having absolutely nothing to wake up for, no personal objectives, just being a rudderless boat roaming the seas of life until you die.

Now that I think about it, even Cliff Blezinski tried to keep mattering to the world, true, he failed in comedic fashion, but to me that's far better than not attempting it at all.

Hahaha, that's funny.

This might be different than in the mainstream PC programming world, but in my industrial programming world, I've noticed that anyone who says "Maybe it's a race condition" doesn't know what the fuck they're talking about and doesn't understand scan order.

Originally, race conditions were talking about physical electronics and such. If one relay goes on before the other, one thing happens, if the other relay goes on first, a different, unexpected thing happens, and it all comes down to unknowns, like wire length, resistance, crap like that. So you'd have to put in timers or whatever to eliminate those unwanted conditions.

In software, a race condition is different, because in a single processor environment, it's completely predictable. Even if you have asynchronous updates to some of your variables, as long as you control for that by only reading them in one place you can be absolutely sure of how the software will behave.

I imagine in the PC world with multiple processors and threads that gets a bit more complex, but I have to imagine the concept of reading all your asynchronous IO in a single place in the software is still considered best practice.

Good. Notch is an autistic moron who considers himself a programming genius when he can't even write a shitty block game without using java and needing 8 gigs of memory and a GPU powerful enough short of running Crysis. He's like a lolcow of programmers, even to this day Mojang is desperately trying to clean up after his mess and they already rewrote the game like 3 times.

Nobody else has been able to make a better block game so It seems like he's the best in the world at it.

I can't speak for anyone else but I'd rather have my name on Minecraft's launch screen than a billion dollars.
Genuinely, why? The only adults who play that shit are so deep in mods they don't even remember what default textures look like. Notch is shitposting all this crap cus he's bored. Legit, straight up. He said he's bored several times because his friends in the Hollywood Hills still work, or do something they're passionate about. You can say a lot about thug gangster mumble-rappers, but they keep doing what they love doing, and getting rich wasn't part of it.

He sold out. He's rich and passionless. He doesn't give a shit about programming or games; he quit making them. Soundcloud rappers keep making music despite being retire-able.

I'm kinda sad notch no longer makes games. That super small voxel thing he was doing a while back looked cool (Especially since gif compression made every frame look like a 90's point and click background)

There were some tranny retards in a discord server I'm apart of were freaking the fuck out and calling him a Transphobic Nazi. Lol, good times.

From what I've heard -- and get that salt shaker ready because I could be wrong -- Notch never, ever expected Minecraft to take off like it did. It's like the Ugly Duckling tale, except the Ugly Duckling wasn't a swan, he was actually a F-22 jet fighter.

One of the reasons Notch sold out, in fact, was because suddenly the game was much more than just something he was tinkering with in his garage with friends. And it freaked him out quite a bit.

Notch unironically said that SJWs and trans people "celebrate body dysphoria". I mean, of course some exceptionals will celebrate the most specific things in the world. But Notch is really stretching here.

Pretty sure he means that they celebrate people being confused thinking they're the opposite gender they're born with.
