Damn I come back and I see a lot of cool Create posts.
i hate that the redditghast looks like a fucking sore thumb, it was the first thing i saw when i looked at the image, everything looks good as a villa but that fucking ghast...
not even the pink dock drew my attention as much as that ghast and reddish colors are supposed to be the ones that humans notice first... ho-lee-shit.
Same, God I hate that thing. I noticed it before I saw the fucking DRAGON above it.

Alright, so, I've spent some time about six hours playing in this world today. I've mostly been spending that time building my house, which I ended up slipping into a trance and making all three floors of in one go:

Three floors because I realized I could just consolidate the farm and animal containment into one. The Create elevator will have to wait, as I've realized (far too late) that it requires advanced components to make. I'll just use OpenBlocks for now.

Kind of looks like ugly shit right now, but I need to mine some ~30 full stacks of Terracotta to make the walls (if I'm lucky it'll be about 30-- I don't actually know the total amount, just that it's obscene and I might actually have to strip an entire biome bare to do this) and I am dreading that after hours and hours of just sitting there laying down Jungle planks. It'll be done later.

Currently, I have made my first-ever Create (non-Simulated) contraption:
1780442982321.png 1780443066025.png

It is very rudimentary, very slow, and just barely works thanks to a tiny waterfall that comes from one of the canyons. It is absolutely primitive and probably won't stick around. However, it gets the job done and completing it bestowed upon me an odd sense of pride that I would like to feel again. I'll need to figure out how to thicken the waterfall into a real source of water for the farm I'm planning on building, and see if I can somehow split it into two streams so that I can redirect one to the contraption floor. (Worst-case scenario I'll just make separate waterfalls myself, but I think it might be cool to have one gigantic waterfall split itself in twain as it rushes down the canyonside.)

Thank you again for all the tips. :)

1: Add vein mining to your pack if it doesn't have it.

2: I give myself a Theta's Construction Wand as a matter of course these days. There are much better things I can be doing than slowly placing blocks and i just don't have the time or patience to do it by hand any more.

Bro you can just get a girlfriend it’s not that hard and, pro tip, they actually enjoy Minecraft just show them a pig and an axolotl and they’re hooked.
My wife is rather partial to minecraft bee

Depending on what mods you have installed there might be a very cheap way to produce clay without having to strip a whole biome.
Cobblestone can be crushed into gravel and then further crushed into sand with flint and clay being by-products in base create, and other mods may add even easier recipes.
With a cobble-generator that's essentially infinite free clay with just a couple of crushing wheels.
Use a basin/mechanical press to turn said clay into clay blocks, then blast em, and bang, free terracotta factory.

You can even stick a puddle of liquid dye in front of a fan for an infinite dye setup. Bang, colored terracotta factory.

Crushing wheels do require having brass for the mechanical crafters, but I think Create does some structure generation by default (dont quote me on this, the strcutures I have might be from an addon-mod) so you may be able to explore and find a building with some crushing wheels already inside it (that's how I've sourced all 6 crushing wheels I have in my world so far)
And even if you don't have structures, it's not all that difficult to get brass up and running. One trip to a nether fortress to fill up a blaze burner and you're on the road to brass everything.

Looks good so far though! I dig spanning structures like that, I look forward to seeing the end result. Makes me want to build a bridge across my river at some point now.

I have tentatively finished my estate for now, and the next project will be building a nice town. I personally love the look of plants in this game, and really like the cherry groves so I put in a vineyard and a cherry grove with a load of paths, gazebos to chill in and look at the views, and custom water features. I found a nice villa, a nice church, and a nice vineyard barn type thing to paste in from PMC for some added detail and kitbash for my purposes. The overwhelming majority of work was the landscaping, and I'm pleased with how the estate turned out.
Here's a map view and some views from above, keep in mind this was all plains beforehand. I'm going to expand to the West first, there's a large landmass with some nice topography to work with. I found that villa on PMC, I just liked it so I put it in.

The vineyards is carrots, wheat, gords, and sweet berries. I love it, it's so chill to just walk through and stop at the gazebos. The west part of the estate is where I just planted a large cherry grove with some paths and rivers running through it, it creates a nice barrier between the estate and what will be a town. I could add some little shacks or something in the grove, idk not a priority.

I hollowed out the hill with the basin, made it a nice little lookout point, and in the underground lake I put in a coral reef and a sunken church. I used a church off PMC and changed the blocks and added details I wanted, I think it's neat. I also changed the biome for that specific area to Warm Ocean, so tropical fish and pufferfish and squids and ammonites and sometimes even dolphins spawn there, adding nice life to the underground lake.

Can anyone recomend some shaders? I have been using Sildurs Vibrant Shaders lately.
Bliss is good, Iteration if you hate your GPU, Hysteria if you like fog, the Complementary twins is the go-to for most people, MakeUp if you want something light.
This is a good comparison video, obviously your specs may or may not allow you to run them at a stable framerate:
I was recommended two new ones myself, one called Eclipse which has some fun stuff to mess with. I think it's actually based off Bliss. As well as a really unique one called CazToon, but it's paywalled because modders are faggots and it's not on Kemono because no one got around to pirate it.

Anyone here liking the Chaos Cubed update so far?
I haven't played enough with the CUM CUBE to know if I'll use it for anything, but I'm pretty sure that once the nerds spend some time with it they'll make some interesting stuff.
The new blocks are just new blocks, I like the colors but it's not exactly mind-blowing. But hey, they’ll have their place in some builds I’m always good with more building blocks in my building block game.
However, being able to make geysers is pretty neat and I'll use it to make some nice looking fountains and other water features.
I'm actually more excited for the wool slabs and stairs and whatnot in the next update, that's prime detailing autism right there and that's what I'm about.

I roughed out a forest town, and really just had fun playing with assets off PMC including the most insane cathedral I've ever seen in Minecraft. I like the overgrown forest aesthetic, so I turned the plains next to my estate into one of those and just finished the paths between all the buildings. Next will be adding the details. Streetlights, fountains, sculptures, a port, all that kind of stuff.
Everything here used to just be plains, and I've been playing around with assets I liked the look of for the town.

The cathedral is actually insane, it's the most detailed build I have ever seen. All I did to it was change the floor for lighting, but even the map art these guys used is nuts.

I also added a mod to have torchflowers produce light, I like the vibe it gives.

There's a lot of work to be done, but so far I'm liking how it's turning out.

I doubt this video would be a thing if Notch was still progressive.
That and he was incredibly successful, is loved by normal people who aren't terminally online (and some that are), and is filthy fucking rich. This makes them seethe, OP and whatever troons he has on his side refuse to answer rebuttals without some snarky response because of course they can't. Their only argument is "he doesn't like what I like so he's evil because what I like is objectively good."
Is it known what swayed him from the pronouns path?
Have you SEEN what the "pronoun path" (lol) does to people? Normal people only tolerate it in polite society because they're be demonized otherwise. Notch has no threats so now he doesn't have to worry about having normal thoughts to their disgusting antics nor speaking about them.

Screw that. I'll be as politically incorrect as I want and "misgender" (correctly gender) every mentally ill faggot I encounter, online and in-person.

Having loads of money still probably has the power to not give a fuck too. If there's a perk of being a rich person that I'd love to have, is being able to flip people off and rub it in their face that I'm too rich to give a fuck about their pronoun feelings.

Scrolling the topic list in this forum, I read the thread title as Mingecraft. I chuckled.
