Oh I thought it was something new. He was on a Realms world, not a local world.
For those of us without friends, what does that mean?
I’d assume that the AI ban thing is only on online worlds, but I’ve seen a good amount of these videos pop up the last few days so did the AI change and shit the bed?

You can connect to Realms, which is Mojang/Microsoft officially hosted servers. I haven't used them or looked into it but it's super easy and convenient server hosting for vanilla Minecraft.

You can connect to third party servers, like Hypixel, or the server your friend is hosting in their basement. This is how you would connect to a modded server.

Or you can play a single player world entirely on your computer.

My brief look into the video showed he was using a Realm (official Microsoft hosted server) for his "single player world", where Microsoft has been rigorously enforcing their chat rules. If he was just using a single player world or a third party host (where the host can add a plugin to disable chat reporting) then he would've been completely fine and able to say whatever he wanted. I would bet that if I looked through the Realms terms of service that I would find a section saying they monitor and moderate speech on a Realm.
