One of the guys behind the alternative launcher PolyMC just "went rogue" and cut off the access of every other contributor and maintainer, and deleted the Code of Conduct from the repository. @ everyone pings are going off in every Minecraft related Discord server as we speak claiming that the launcher is compromised and telling everyone to stop using it.
Continuing to use something that someone with a "bad take" made is supporting that take (but it's okay to use Minecraft despite Notch having "bad takes")

lol yeah, trannies hate Notch so much for his Twitter takes yet they can't stop playing Minecraft. Similarly they are mad beyond belief over Kovarex telling Redditors to fuck off with their cancel culture bullshit yet they cannot stop playing Factorio.
But these are products that they cannot replace so they have no other choice than to play this game made by transphobes (even though neither Notch nor Kovarex never said anything about trannies) but when it's some open source project they can easily fork/replace then yeah, fuck this program because the person behind it has "horrible takes".
It's funny because for example I use SyncThing which devs are massive leftoid fags but I don't care about that because the software works and it does what it's meant to do. Normal people do not give a shit about what the author of a program/game/song/movie/etc thinks because if what they made is good it doesn't matter a single bit.
"Promoting bigotry"? I know the Mojang devs are lazy retards but I didn't know that they were so far gone that they bought into the idea of anyone who tries to keep things non-political is a fascist or whatever.
Lenny literally tried to just make the code of conduct include "everyone" rather than have protected classes of people but of course that could never fly with the power tripping trannies.
Also, an update on how the main game is doing without Notch:
Now that I think about it, has Lenny said anything anywhere about trannies? Or all his sins are the fact he wanted the CoC to not have specific rules for "gender identity" so that the CoC does not pick and choose who gets to contribute in the project and the fact that the deletion of the CoC has mentioned "leftoids"?
This is very fucking common with these "people", when Kovarex told a Redditor to shove his cancel culture mentality up his ass people dogpiled on Kovarex for being "transphobic" to the point where Kovarex himself was confused why he was being called a transphobe despite never saying anything about trannies. They always have to make everything about themselves.
Just outright admitting that they'd willingly make a godawful piece of software that runs like shit as long as the devs aren't transphobic. Because fuck having actual talent and coding abilities, muh trans rights is all that matters.
Honestly I want for the new tranny fork maintainers to go so tits mad over not letting this awful transphobia happen again that they will implement some bullshit disk wiper for "transphobes" that will fuck up and wipe drives of everyone who dared to install the fork, completely ruining their reputation as software developers. I really hope this drama gets their AGP brains to tick this way because it will be a spectacular show while MultiMC will remain the go-to launcher because the original dev and project maintainer is Czech and does not give a single shit about the American culture war.
JFC, I just wanted to play Minecraft on my Steam Deck today, and I see this fucking mess.
PolyMC has had an issue for a while where, if you're logged out, you can't play offline with your online account. The issue has yet to be fixed, per their github. Maybe impossible? IDK. That said, I can play offline with an offline account, it's just slightly inconvenient, and also can't play with my family (as easily).
I also see that my Microsoft permissions to PolyMC were nuked, not by me. I see various possible causes of the authentication issue- some claim the trannies have control of the authenticator, others claim the polymc launcher is getting DDoS'd.
Are there any non-pozzed authenticators I can substitute in PolyMC? Preferably native Linux that works well on Deck? I see there's a line in PolyMC to put in an alternate authenticators, so would be happy to do that if the alternate routes that are shady af. Failing that, alternate+based launchers that support flatpack? The MultiMC dev hates flatpack (fair enough), and the launcher also has issue with some mods, so haven't tried that on the Deck.
Minecraft is one of the most profitable games in history with one of the largest active user bases ever. They could have hired enough people over the years to deal with making a lot of mobs at once, while still making other features just the same, but they haven't.
This article shows a few things that they have failed to do and how it makes Mojang look small even years after being bought up for billions. https://www.windowscentral.com/mojang-studios-feels-like-underfunded-indie-studio
Sure, Minecraft is split between two actively developed builds that run in entirely different ways, it's multi-platform, and they have other projects, but a lot of that shit is handled by other companies or teams.
Fair enough. Although, the article says that Minecraft Dungeons didn't feel complete until the Nether DLC. I found it odd considering I've heard more people say that about the Echos of the Void DLC when it came out (considering that it gave the player more of a reason to go back to the base game along with two big new levels).
Back to the mobs. I believe the problem isn't a lack of effort, but rather a lack of time. Last I checked, Mojang has plenty of manpower. The issue is they give themselves half a year to develop these updates and developing the mob vote mobs alongside whatever is coming in the next update doesn't seem like a realistic goal with the time frame that they have. Which is why they say the losing mobs will only be implemented when they feel that they're appropriate for an update.
Modded or otherwise, developing a new mob isn't a simple task. Let alone six of them at this point.

Uhh idk, maybe just take some time, plug in a mouse and keyboard and install MultiMC the hard way? PolyMC is dead because of the takeover and tranny bitching, and the tranny fork will most likely be even worse. The Deck is running an Arch fork, it shouldn't be too hard to just install it manually.
PKGBUILD for actually getting MultiMC on Arch. Contribute to MultiMC/multimc-pkgbuild development by creating an account on GitHub.

Edit to avoid double posting: the PolyMC Subreddit got privated:
GamingOnLinux made an article about the fiasco bitching about how it's not "compromised" Link (Archive)
Here's a comment that I really appreciate. The guy takes a pretty good stance on this issue.
Unfortunately the owner of the site did not appreciate that comment as he is a massive faggot, and it pissed him off so much that someone had a different opinion that he locked the comments.

Liam Dawe says "he didn't read the article" but he clearly didn't read his comment because he asked for a source (which I'd like to note Liam didn't provide on account of being a faggot).
Shame that GamingOnLinux is owned by a tranny cock sucking manlet.
The Gnome Project decided they wanted to be a bunch of fags and got a load of issues.
These faggots keep trying to push their redistributable CoC on open source projects. There used to be a time where people would contribute to a project; nobody gave a shit what they looked like or if they were homosexuals. Unfortunately CoC fags like to use CoCs as a way of forcing everyone to conform to them. I vaguely remember them trying to push that shit on the Linux Kernel…

The previous maintainers deleted the MSA key, preventing the PMC launcher from authenticating Microsoft accounts.
A fix was provided on the discord with a new API key for existing installations, and the new API key has been committed to the github project (Source) (A)
Dev reiterated that no malware has been added and that new contributor code will be vetted to prevent future malware.
No recent commits apart from the CoC removal and the MSA key update
Claims that his AUR account was deactivated "without notifying me at all", which will probably prevent him from pushing new versions to arch until he gets control over it again.
Question for the Arch experts out there: Since his account has been deactivated, will this allow the previous maintainers to take over the PMC arch project and use their own code for future updates?
The project could be in it's last stages in it's current form, as the original PMC launcher has been announced everywhere as "compromised" and the current developer's viewpoints make the project radioactive to a large portion of the MC user-base.
The majority of contributors have been purged and some have started their own fork of a fork of a fork to compete, but there is no doubt that this fork will be filled with the "problem elements" that were removed from the project.
Maybe the project will get new maintainers, as in the discord screenshots the dev claims to have had multiple offers of support but idk. If no one uses it then there is much less of a drive to develop it.
Honestly shit like this made me decide that if I ever become a programmer I will never ever contribute to any open source projects nor will I start any open source projects, as I will either be ousted from the project for having the wrong views and I waste my time contributing to people who despise me or my project will be attacked relentlessly for having the wrong views and I waste my time creating something of my own. And I think every other developer should do the same, never try to do any coding if you're not getting paid for it as at any time those vultures can and will destroy your work just because of you being different from them.

I posted some details over on the Open Source Software Communities thread. Something missing from this thread is the fact that they revoked API keys and got the package banned from at least two Linux package repos by creating a fake CVE.

His account could be suspended by any Trusted User on AUR, not really by maintainers of Arch Linux itself, Trusted Users are essentially jannies for the User repository (not the official core/extra/community repos).
Actually it might be quite a difficult situation because there seems to be a difference between the Maintainer in the AUR and the Maintainer in the actual PKGBUILD itself. Looks like lovetocode999 wrongly made the PKGBUILD.
Might be possible that the kicked off maintainer (lovetocode999) will use it to their advantage trying to get the AUR entry for their ownership.

A fake CVE, that's a new one. It's actually quite fascinating (and horrifying) how trannies will come up with all these different ways to deplatform and attack people they don't like. Any tool of good that can be abused will be abused by them.
On another note:
Looks like their OpenCollective page (essentially donations for open source software) was "temporarily limited". (archive)
It looks like lenny went and kicked off other mainterners of the project on GitHub from OpenCollective as well. This could be warrant for a suspension maybe?
