a place known for its chaos.
Not really, just pure faggotry and autism since 2021. I don't know why, but normies see the server as a place without rules, full of chaos, or whatever other dramatic terms they use, just as they believe 4chan is filled with le scary dark web hackers.

just as they believe 4chan is filled with le scary dark web hackers.
Or Kiwifarms being a place that causes trannies to commit suicide and shares personal information with right wing death squads (despite having a non-small amount of lefties).
Strange there are any talented builders on the server at all. Maybe some see making something on 2b2t as a challenge to make a build and see how long it survives on a place known for its chaos.
There's were a lot of builds there that bring a nice wave of nostalgia that you can probably find on their wiki, some still stand for years even after the big coord exploit, while others build in a fashion similar to builds from the earlier years of Minecraft (usually a byproduct of not knowing how to build well, which has its own charm). Then there's madlads like Krobar01 and Jacktherippa.
I've been to the End once, someone gave me a bunch of portal frames years ago back on my old account, sadly I never got to saw any of the really insane builds the End tends to have whether they were griefed since people build in remote and far away areas. It's amazing how people see some of the sickest shit imaginable and just think "you know what would be funny?" It's "tradition" to destroy everyone's shit and build obsidian dicks everywhere, I know. But this is why you shouldn't let autists decide tradition.
I thought 2b2t would die off with the new Mojang chat rules. Did the owner find some way to bypass them?
People have no backbone these days, most will definitely comply with not saying no-no words or building swastikas if it means they won't have their account banned from "THE OLDEST ANAR" 2b2t or outright deleted by Microshit.

FUCKING BASED!!!!

For real, they must just be fucking idiots, or riot fucked IP the whole thing. Vintage story was barebones and shit when it released because it was little more than a fork of Terrafirmacraft. The devs just kept working on it and pushing updates to the point that it's a pretty good game now.

What exactly was stopping Hytale from doing the same? All that work gone to waste. I'm sure people would have been fine with a shitty half finished product, as long as it kept being updated. This leads me to believe that Hytale was barely even playable. What a disaster.
wow I was 100% correct about hytale. shocking I am shocked that riot's greed and ambition to ship the game simultaneously on 8 different platforms including mobile, was the problem.

Funny how only a week after their big baby animal update Mojang is now going to force British players to use their ID to be allowed to play the game they fucking bought and paid for. And they're going to expand it to more regions. Do not believe them when they say they won't.

Those bastards knew what they were doing. They only implemented the new models to quell backlash, and it unfortunately worked because twitter users and redditors are retards.

I immediately saw it for what it was, you all must as well.

If anyone tries to argue with you that Hytale isn't just MC but a generic fantasy RPG, a fucking 15 year old managed to get crossplay working between Minecraft and Hytale. You can no longer convince me that Hytale hasn't yoinked code or was originally a mod for MC somewhere in production, unless this is a prank or it's simply sending key presses from one client to the other like a remote control.
"It's all just Packet Trickery. You could say I am running a Minecraft server in the Hytale JVM, which uses the Coordinate System of the Hytale world (as it's the same) As well as takes a snapshot of the Hytale world and reconstructs it, and then sends it to the Client via Packets,"
Ah, so it was like remote control. Still, hilarious.

Jesus, that doesn't even fit Minecraft's style, what the fuck is that? It's not even well made either.

They were only made to distract their liberal fanbase from the increasing censorship and the fact they want your ID to play the game you bought with your money. Like jingling keys for a baby. And it's unfortunately working because Reddit is stupid.

The cognitive dissonance of Americans have to think they have most free speech in the world is impressive, they boast about it at the same time are the one of the worst censorship enforcers when it comes to vidya. Seriously mutts, I want to hear the copes how the land of the free is better off owning the IP than some fat Swede.

In America, you can say nearly anything you want as long as it isn't a direct threat or calling out a fire when none exists. That's it. It's one of the few remaining redeemable things America has as much as it angers the conservatives, liberals and the corporations who own both.

The censorship is not the only reason why Minecraft sucks now, by the way. Notch selling it was a terrible idea in hindsight.

Hypixel developers are basically the greatest ones Minecraft has ever seen, including the official developers at Mojang. You can join the Hypixel Skyblock server on pretty much any version, from 1.8 to 1.21. This is pretty much unprecedented. They are wizards.

This isn't very surprising, Hytale was literally built from the ground up to be modded. Hytale mods hit 2m downloads in less than 48 hours, then 5m like 2 days later.

I have recently been going through old files, and have found around 1700 Minecraft bedrock edition worlds to go through.
No, that is not a typo.
While there are a few important worlds that I am interested in keeping, the vast majority of those worlds are worlds that I gave up on after 5 minutes. How should I go through them all?
I was thinking about using Amulet Editor to view all of these worlds. However, it lacks many features that I need such as the ability to view what other players were active on the world, the ability to check days played, and the ability to see if the daylight cycle is enabled or not. Amulet editor also loads in a bunch of new chunks and doesn't have the ability to disable it.
Does anyone know of an alternative/additional program that I can use? I haven't touched most of these worlds in at least half a decade, so compatibility with the latest version is not too important for me.
I am going to preface this message with:
🚨IF YOU KNOW OF BEDROCK COMPATIBLE ALTERNATIVES TO:🚨
🚨AMULET EDITOR, NBTSTUDIO, OR UNIVERSAL MINECRAFT TOOL🚨
🚨LET ME KNOW🚨
I have gone through 200 worlds so far, and have used an old version of Amulet Editor + an old free version of Universal Minecraft Editor + NBTStudio to do so. All of these programs are awful to use.

Amulet editor is an MCEdit alternative that has been in development for 6 years. According to the FAQ, its goal is to have all of the features that MCEdit Unified has.
Lets check out MCedit Unified.

MCEdit Unified has both a "Players" tab, which displays player data, and NBT Explorer built in. If MCEdit had more stable compatibility with Bedrock Edition, I would use it exclusively and not bother with any other programs. And it was a whole lot faster than Amulet editor too.
Meanwhile, this is what Amulet editor has to offer.

And if you thought that there might be a lot of features hidden behind the "Operation" tab, you will be severely disappointed.

Is this really what 6 years of development results in? If they haven't been working on adding all of MCEdit's features, than what have they been doing? I have skimmed a few pages of their changelog, and seems like the developers mainly fix minor bugs. New features seem to be being added at a snail's pace. Their e-begging page states that they have spent the last two years rewriting Amulet and the libraries that is uses from the ground up, for some reason. While a faster Amulet Editor would be really nice, why don't they wait until they have a finished product first?
E-begging, e-begging... OH YEAH, that reminds me that Amulet editor, a formerly Open Source product, costs money now.
Pathway Studios have been funding the development of Amulet for the past 6 years but have decided to stop funding development from 2026.
I have experimented with donations to try and fill the gap (thanks to everyone who donated) but the amount raised is insufficient to continue developing Amulet.
I have always wanted Amulet to be free for those who cannot afford it and that has been a reality while Pathway Studios was funding the project but that time has come to an end. The only solution I can see to fund continued development is to charge for use of the software. I understand that this decision may be generally disliked but it is the only way that I can see to keep Amulet alive.
Above is a link to our Gumroad page where you can purchase a licence to use Amulet and access executable versions of the application. Versions prior to 0.10.45 can still be downloaded from our Github releases page but they do not support Java 1.21.11+ and Bedrock 1.12.120+
I will email PayPal donators with a gift card for the amount donated. Github sponsors will need to email me at amuleteditor+donation@gmail.com. If you think I have missed you please contact me using the same email.
The future of Amulet
For the past two years I have been rewriting Amulet from the ground up. Most of the libraries are now written in C++ for improved speed and parallelisation. There is a lot to be done until the rewrite can replace the current version of Amulet but, if funding allows, experimental versions of the rewrite should be ready soon.
Not only does it cost money, but it is also a subscription service.

Why do these people even need money to continue developing Amulet? Do they not have actual jobs or are they just really greedy and will do anything for a little extra money? This isn't a rhetorical question, I actually want to know why these people are charging money for a shitty minecraft editor.

Universal Minecraft Editor
Universal Minecraft Editor was an NBT Editor with a few extra features, such as the ability to display player data, that was compatible with Bedrock and many Legacy Console editions.
The NBT Editor works, but that's not too impressive. The Player Data Viewer, which is the whole reason that I use this instead of other NBT Editors, such as NBT Studio, has mixed results. Sometimes it works, bit sometimes it displays nothing.

The world that this screenshot comes from is from version 1.4.3, which was released in June 5, 2018, so I doubt that is has anything to do with the world being too new for my outdated version of Universal Minecraft Editor.
There are some worlds that Universal Minecraft Editor instandly crashes when attempting to load. This isn't too common, and I just use NBT Studio whenever I run into it, but it is annoying.
In late 2022, the developer of Universal Minecraft Editor decided to combine this program with Universal Minecraft Converter, a paid minecraft converter, in order to make Universal Minecraft Tool. This new program costs money, turning a formerly free program into something that is paid.
In late 2023, he split the Universal Minecraft Editor section of Universal Minecraft Tool into "NBT Editor" and "Pruner". The NBT Editor is free, while the Pruner costs money.

Unless you pay, the new version is a barebones NBT Editor with no additional features. The "All Files" dropdown just shows a list of the files that your world contains, which File Explorer already does.
An alternative that used to exist is MCC Toolchest. It has the exact same features as Universal Minecraft Editor, but development stopped on it 5 years ago. It works with less worlds and is less stable, so I don't use it.

NBTStudio is an NBT Editor that is compatible with Bedrock Edition. I use it when Universal Minecraft Editor doesn't work. It can read the level.dat file fine, but nothing else. I would switch to it from Universal Minecraft editor if I could view player data with it.

In conclusion:
1.13, the upate that broke MCEdit, was released on July 18, 2018. It has been nearly 8 years. How has the community not managed to make a good alternative yet? In order to attempt to get the functionality of MCEdit, I am juggling around 3 programs, and even then I am not getting everything. Just Shut It Down.

I’ve been on a big Minecraft kick lately and, weirdly, have been having a lot more fun with it than when I played as a kid. Probably because I can actually conceptualize things like architecture, math, planning, etc, better than being a retard kid in a wood house.
The big game changer was WorldEdit and, honestly, ChatGPT. It makes doing all the math required for large builds and things like that so much quicker, and because I am not a lvl 500 building wizard it knows things I don’t and is really helpful for troubleshooting the WorldEdit. For example, I didn’t know that cave vines spawned in with the wand wouldn’t grow so that saved me a headache.
I’m almost done with making a mushroom island town centered around a ~200 block tall mushroom, after that my plan is a massive gilded, dark pyramid or ziggurat based on the palace of Paul Atreides from the Dune series as it’s described as a fortress larger than anything built in human memory and I think that would look fucking sick.
This game is just so much fun, even with all the Microsoft bullshit there’s a purity to it. Just chilling, placing blocks and wondering how three hours passed without you noticing.

I keep getting Hytale and Hypixel confused, also the article you linked does say it was originally a mod for MC on the first line.
While Hytale started as a Minecraft mod

While Hytale started as a Minecraft mod
Don't think it was a Minecraft mod originally, probably got that from an AI search. These usually fails on the first attempt if you don't go specifically in the AI search mode tab. AI search often times confused Hypixel Studios with mods (which they don't make, they make/use server plugins) and then people run with Hytale originally being a mod instead of doing actual research.
The dev team were mod makers once I believe, but I can't find anything that states that Hytale specifically was a mod before being developed into a game. Dunno, could be wrong.
