Hi, Soldier Boy, are you back from the freezer? lol

Nootch when asked why netherrack is just red cobblestone or glass being transparent ice.

Yes, i love the old textures which just copy each other with minimal changes.
it makes the game more stylized when everything looks similar
it reminds me of how mario used the cloud sprite painted green for foliage

Less is more.
Minecraft was at its best when it knew how to work with its simplicity, IE cows being the animal for leather, chickens being the animals for feathers and eggs, sheep being the animal for wool, and pigs being the animal for food, now there's a billion animals all around the world that don't serve a functional purpose beyond trying to make an intentionally lonely game all chungus and lively (I still have a distinct hate for bees because of this exact reason and will fucking kill every single one I see while playing the game). Every so often I remember the game unironically has fucking PANDAS now and just stare blankly in the middle of building something.

Have you ever looked at old beta Minecraft buildings and noticed how they use unconventional blocks for their buildings? That was the magic behind a lot of older builds: they worked with what they got. For instance, castles that use netherrack for the roof, wool blocks for carpet, gravel for pathing.

Also, fuck Lena Raine's music, it sounds nothing like Minecraft. They should've stuck with c418.

They should've stuck with c418.
IIRC they did not because C418 was allowed to keep the copyright to his music when it was first used for the game, since it was still a tiny indie game at the time. Microkike either did not allow him the same leeway or did not even bother contacting him when they decided to get a new batch of tracks, and so went with a bunch of retarded diversity hires who would be ok giving the exclusive rights for their music to Microjeet.

IIRC, they asked him to sign over his rights in the middle of him making Volume 3. He refused and he wasn't allowed to release it.
They also got some ex-Squaresoft artist who was already stockholm syndromed by the Japanese games industry.

I would be fine with the new mobs if they actually offered anything of value to the game. I actually like bees for this reason, as I enjoy building bee farms (even if they nerfed the fuck out of honey bottles to the point that they’re hardly useful anymore)

Camels, pandas, axolotls, sniffers, frogs, dolphins, ocelots (after cats became separate) all have the same problem in that they provide literally zero unique function or resource and exist solely to push merch and be “cute.” People used to shit on bats for being useless endlessly back in the day, but at least they were an isolated case. I guess it’s a testament to how the game’s community has changed that people now praise every animal that gets added solely because they’re “aesthetic” and give no thought to their purpose or place in the game’s ecosystem.
Is that the xe/xir one who did pigstep?

Xir's music is shit and i'd enjoy a toggle to remove anything nom C418 related.

I consider the above resource pack to be a necessity any time I play a version of Minecraft with the troon’s shit music implemented. You will never make me listen to the garbage tranny imitation.

Bees unlike other animals don't have Villager trades that make them obsolete.

I can enslave a village for food, iron, arrows & enchanted books but honey is something i cannot get from them.
