Miraculous ladybug is a shambling zombie of a show, and I’d like to make fun of it. To start, Thomas Astruc is a faggot, even by the standards of the average Frenchman.

I know grown-ass women that like the show. Not sure why modern children's shows captivate the attention of adults

France has a strong animation industry, but this show is odd and I do not understand its popularity (except for being coomer bait).

If JoJo part 5 and Ongezellig had a gay dumpster baby that was raised by French furry Power Rangers, the end result would be miraculous ladybug

Never even cared about this show one bit. In fact I never hear of most children shows until I found out about some retard named Dan Sobel.

Didn't Dobsoy (AKA "Tom Preston") like that show?
More like he was obsessed with it. He drew the characters into his cringe-inducing comics and gushed about it a lot. Dobstorian @SteelPlatedHeart might be able to give more detail.

Dobson was my first cow. I was curious what kind of show would make a 30-something or 40-something loser like Dobson into such a fanboy, so I tried to watch an episode. Got like five minutes in and turned it off. It's insufferable. The characters never shut the fuck up for a millisecond, like the audience might lose interest if there's more than a second of silence. It was like someone was drilling into my temporal lobe with a dull spoon. Any adult who can tolerate entire episodes of it should donate their brain to science, because holy fuck are they exceptional.

IIRC it started off as a pilot with decent-looking 2D animation that had a lot of animation fans interested. Then it got shat out as a 3D turd, and most of them seemed to forget it ever existed.

I watched a bit since my niece watched it for a while and god was it incredibly tedious, it's the sailor moon tuxedo mask dynamic stretched as far as humanly possible. The entire series is essentially just a retarded love Square between the main character, blond twink and there superhero identities extended indefinitely. The last episode I remember actually did have them reveal there identities and it somehow drove the cat twink crazy and he literally destroyed the entire world. I understand will they-wont they stories lose there luster after the couple get together but this show is so ridiculous about it that just barely paying attention to it while baby sitting was immensely frustrating, I'm glad my niece moved on to pretty cure instead. I also heard they made a movie that actually ends with the characters finally getting together but apperatetly its fucking non-canon.

Still kind of disappointed they didn't go with the original 2d look. I know it's generic anime but there's cool stuff here...

Dobson latched onto it as his “new thing that could get me fame and attention” attemp, which was actually working for him for a bit. Hell, he made so many art/comics of the show he even tried making a full compilation “book” he was selling online(really just a digital copy of all the “funny” comics he made.

But the creator of the show is apparently just Dobson if he was more successful, so it make sense he’d be drawn to it.

If I recall Thomas Astruc based Chloe Bourgeois after a former school bully of his, and created her specifically as a form of revenge. Depressing as she had so much potential, only to be shafted because a grown man despised a fictional middle schooler.
