Hang on, aren't the Westons supposed to be descended from royalty according to Chris? That would make OPL much more of a cold blue-blood than Colin. But I guess if a perceived enemy has a quality, that quality must be negative, even if it's one Chris supposedly shares. So it goes.
 
Chris is downright stalking Catie... To the extent of it all being online through email so he doesn't have to get off his ass. It is creepy to watch him both escalate the relationship (without any input from Catie) and devolve into madness so quickly.

Holy crap.

I like how Chris thinks emotional support beats out financial. Emotional support is important, but that still only goes so far.

And I love that he threw Sonichu and Rosechu up, like Colin would be impressed.

I speculate that he imagined an open relationship could mean that she could see other women, since all women are great and then there would sexy threesomes all the time. I don't think he would have seen a(nother) woman as a competitor like he would see a guy.
 
He keeps amazing me. Now he thinks that because his Sonic character has made him world famous, any random person (in this case, Colin) would know that Internet trolls would be interested in knowing that Catie was his girlfriend, so would leak that to the whole Internet?

I think I managed to hold it together until I got to "Le Cirque" -- I hope he googled it, personally I think I would have taken Catie to Elaine's or Sardi's. The Tribeca Grand is nice too, also there's some bar that some film critic's wife owns ...
 
"I'm worried about Catherine's feelings and safety!" really means "I'm worried about Catherine dating a guy who isn't me!"

Makes me doubt any time Chris makes his constant claims of "empathy" and wanting people to "stay safe."
 
Holy shit, he comes across as completely deranged in this series of emails. And to be honest, I'm kind of glad that trolls are keeping him from harassing some innocent woman who was nice to him which made him latch on to her after autistically deciding that she was his new heart-sweet. The level of creepiness in these messages is off the fucking charts.
 
It would've been nice if Catie had gotten through to Chris on finances. You have to wonder if Borb even attempted to teach Chris proper money management. Bob said on the Emily date that Chris was bad with money, so I'm guessing he may have tried to teach Chris thrift without success. Even Bob taking over Chris' finances after the whole deal with the credit card debt didn't seem to teach Chris anything.

Even after all he's gone through recently, he still likes to tell people he's the creator of the electric hedgehog pokemons sonichu and rosechu. In a way, that's kind of nice. A callback to a more "innocent" time.

Trying to teach Chris things tends to be a lost cause.
 
Ironic that Chris thinks Collin won't respect Catherine and her emotions when it was Chris doing the disrespecting all along. It goes without saying, but all Chris gives a shit about is Chris and his desires. If Chris really respected Catherine, or any woman, he'd want her to be taken care of in every way, including financially, and he obviously know's he can't do that with his welfare duckets.

Just once I'd like to see Chris say something to the effect of "you know what, if that other guy makes you happy then go for it", if only because he's too defeated and depressed or whatever.

He won't His ego and entitlement won't allow it. If Chris can't be happy then no one else deserves to be either.
 
Christ, 'Jilted John' really is the theme of this 'relationship' Except rather than Gordon, it's 'COLIN IS A MORON' that Chris is yelling...
