Does anyone listen to Mitski? She's relatively new. Her music is definitely unique.


Theres something going around on the dark web about her dad possibly being a war criminal?

She's interesting in that the personal information about her is shrouded in mystery.

Every few years this type of female artist shows up on the radar. She has a passable or exceptional voice and puddle depth lyrics. She is attractive enough to be appealing to men and seemingly attainable while not being so attractive that she causes female listeners to be threatened by her. Often they will win a few awards before vanishing or becoming relevant only when something scandalous happens.

See: Lorde, Adele, and in the future Billie Eilish.

I guess boy bands are the equivalent for men but they seem to be less of a thing now or maybe I just have not heard of the latest crop. I just heard of this Starbucks exclusive artist after all.

Hope wasn't like that though, we barely know anything about her and she never sold out/became mainstream. But I know what you mean.
The only thing that's a bit weird is that she was in Kurt Cobain's top 50 albums of all time (believe it or not she's already 30/28 in the videos I posted). She's still making music and looks surprisingly good for a 53 year old with that kind of lifestyle.
