Didn't "X says Gay/Trans Rights" start out as mocking that woke capitalism all talk no action mindset?
But then in a textbook example of corporate brainwashing it became completely unironic and sincere?
That's what really killed memes.
Corporate America and subhuman champagne socialist consoomers getting their grubby mitts into them.
Now we have "relatable" twitter accounts and blatantly designed shit like Baby Yoda and "This is the way".

I don't know. Everytime I see "[character] says trans rights!" it's from some twitter activist. I even saw a person use a character from a cartoon to say "MAP rights".
