On my phone I use a browser that doesn’t retain any cache or cookies. So Everytime I open up YouTube I get to see what the default recommendations are.

The same way 4:3 content gets cropped into 16:9 on TV, 16:9 content gets cropped into 9:16-9:21, history truly repeats itself.

Words cannot describe how much I hate how garbage youtube has become. Luckily I can avoid the ads, which makes it infinitely more tolerable, but I can't escape it all.
I despise how crap the search function is. "Recommended for you" "you may also like" "viewers also watched" I DO NOT WANT THOSE THINGS I WANT WHAT I SPECIFICALLY LOOKED FOR IN MY SEARCH REQUEST YOU MASSIVE RETARDS! Even when it doesn't fill literally half your search results with those stupid and useless bars (which you can't turn off and aren't even labeled anymore), you never even get anything you look for. Oh? You want to find a at best mildly popular video from 10 years ago? Good luck buddy, your search results will only be things tangentially related to what you searched for. Oh you typed the exact title in? No screw you, you don't get to find that video. Instead, have even more mildly related videos that aren't the one you're looking for.
The worst part is that you just  know this is all intentional to make people use the site more. You know they intentionally made things worse and less functional just so that they can keep making money, which apparently is somehow a struggle despite cramming ads into near every corner of the site, having youtube premium, and youtube tv. They have 3 ways to stream income, and yet still they have to continually make the site worse.

This works currently, but my concern is that they are going to remove this in the future. They already removed operators like intitle and description which means you can't search by title / description on YouTube itself, unless both have been indexed by a search engine. Google is hellbent on handicapping search so they can you sell you LLM bullshit.

The goal of these corporations is to get the Internet to resemble a hyperoptimized form of cable television to maximize engagement.
 
The cluttered horseshit interface and enshittified recommendations of YouTube are why I started using Freetube, but I've also found that it gives marginally better search results as well. Either way, YouTube is such a shitty way to entertain one's self nowadays that you might as well treat it as a normie containment zone that you occasionally have to use to search for a specific piece of information and just use a free streaming service for entertainment. Last I checked uBlock Origin still blocked ads on Tubi.
 
Some nigger who works at USPS stole my poojeetbay (Ebay) return. Everyone I got on the phone lied to me though the entire process. The nigger at the USPS who said that I should file an insurance claim. The poojeet on the phone who said on the phone that they could see everything I post in the chat to the seller, so just submit screen shots from what you have into the chat, so I painstakingly convert everything from PDF to PNG. (pain in the ass just accept PDFs) Then I call back after the time limit has expired the phone person's story changes. When the first poojeet on the phone said that can see everything that post in the chat, next this second person after the limit insists that all images upload are blurry and they can't understand what they them. I ask, "How can I send you the evidence?" At this point I think that I'll be given an email address or an upload page link, something. She starts talking really slowly and accusing me of interrupting her. She would speak very slowly and constantly accuse me of interrupting her and then continue to interrupt me in the same fashion when I would ask a question. They kept trying to give me a discount or store credit. I hate shopping on poojeetbay. If I had the money back from my return I would not spend it again on poojeetbay. It's the same thing with Poojeetzon (Amazon). You always have to ask them to send it back to your bank. That way, they get hit twice with CC processor fees. The whole, "we'll give you a gift car for the amount and it will be faster" is a scam on you so they don't have to pay a few pennies to give you your money back. Always ask for it to be sent to the bank. Make these people eat shit. They are Indian, they like it.

A story that keeps repeating. First a site looks OK and works OK. Then they make the site look like a "smartphone" "app", possible with an ass search engine. Maybe more ads.
 
I use ebay because it is the only one that will give a full refund including shipping cost back to the seller even if the seller refuses the return. They are more convenient than Walmart which has extra steps for returns. Amazon has often enough refused my returns for obvious issues and defects that I haven't used them even when they offer lower cost items and this is for years now.

Had to use yt-dlp to test out video on my ancient MacBook from 2010 running 10.13. Yt-dlp has been discontinued on 10.13, saddening. So, naturally, I had to resort to yt-to-mp4 websites. None of them fucking worked, not a single one. How can you be this fucking incompetent as to not be able to implement a fucking yt-dlp wrapper as a fucking website. Luckily, I have a Discord bot that automatically converts youtube links to mp4's. Worked absolutely flawlessly. My fucking God, how fucking hard can it be. All you fucking do is download a file using a program by someone else and then send that file through, you're a fucking middleman, do your middleman thing. 🎩

It's probably related to that BS that is blocking Piped and Invidious ("Sign in to confirm you're not a bot. This helps protect out community."), to push people to watch the ads and be unable to download anything. Dunno why the likely SJWs or Indians are only now getting so ridiculously pro-ad or anti-downloading compared to how they used to be.

Would still be weird that my purpose-made bot doesn’t have this issue. I’m using the Arch Repo’s latest release so maybe they’re just slow to update, perhaps.
