Learn to cook inferior pieces meat.
Everyone wants a steak but if you know what you're doing and cook it for a long time even inferior pieces can be great.
By inferior I don't mean shitty meat just pieces people do not usually buy or crave

Cook shit in batch and freeze it. It's really useful to have a 0 effort under 15 minutes shit you can cook.
Agreed. 30+ years ago Top Sirloin was a prime cut of meat. Now it is not considered as such. There are a lot of cuts that are now considered "Inferior " yet years ago they are not.

They also have change how they butcher the meat as well. Which sort of pisses me off as they create more premium cuts and charge for that price.

tbh I think if you're not feeding a large family the bulk extra freezer thing probably ends up a bit of a wash for the extra electricity
also regarding change, self-checkout stuff like Targets and Wal-Marts have are a great opportunity to burn through spare change and not have to eat that service fee from coinstars or dick around with rolling coins for a bank

Honestly saving money requires a change of life style and mentality in order to make it work out, as these tips only work out in the long run. If you do them always, then you'll see a big save of money each year, but only if you show consistency.

depending on your spending habits costco could be a massive boon or a total waste
like if you're an alcoholic they've got 1.75l glass bottles of vodka for under fifteen bucks, so it's easy to make back the cost of the annual fee
a lot of costco stuff is available at slightly less quality and only marginally higher prices at aldi, like meats and cheese and shit like that

More of a psychological framing than money saving but when I was in college working shitty minimum wage jobs I got in the habit of converting prices into hours worked when thinking did I really want to spend the money.

Want a big Mac meal? Well that's an hour taking shit from my retard boss, no thank you.

Helped me cut down on frivolous spending

My best experience in cost awareness was a three month personal experiment where I would write every single purchase down in a notebook and then go over it at the end of the month. I really started to spot the opportunities for saving money (don't buy food on the go).

Eat once a day, It inmediatly reduces 2/3rds of the food budget
I can recommend residing in prison both for the frugality of 3 squares provided by the state, and necessity of hiding your cookies from others if you have a snacking problem.
[this tip both saves money, and improves health]

I get alot of my meats when they are close to the best buy date, my local lidl gives 75% discount on Saturday for Stuff that expires monday. you can freeze it without a problem.
I use super cheap steak for pretty much everything.
This. My local grocery store gives 50% off on stuff that has a "sell by" date of that day. When I do meal prep, I go in the morning and get whatever they have that I think will work well. I've gotten 14 lb of chicken for $4

Never cheap out on headphones if you use them, the cheap ones never last long, and will end up spending more on headphone in the long run then if you just got a good pair in the first place.

Learn the times when food is marked down at your supermarket of choice, a lot of the fresh stuff is good for freezing. On that note learn to cook, even something like pizza you can save a ton if you just make it your self and it should also taste better.

Don't get Netflix every month of the year, let stuff build up and make the most of it when you do get it, Also lots of free legal streaming with some great movies on there, such Roku, Pluto Tv and others,

Lots of streaming sites give you free trials, such as Mubi and Shudder. Well, you can get those free trials every time you get a new bank card. On the topic of free trials, lots of sites that can help you find them online. I got stuff like a free pub glass in the past when I did that.

Cut soda out, drink more water, cheaper and better for you. After a few months, it will be hard to even go back to soda.

Always look up vouchers codes online, and on that note, join cashback websites.

If you play games on steam, sell those steam cards, may not get much for them but it does add up and takes no time to sell them.

Even if you don't want to use Epic Store, you can find free pc games pretty much every week. If you are fine using Epic Store, make sure to get those free games every week.

Any big purchase, make sure you research the hell out of it. Want a TV, learn what you can about TVs, and each model you are looking at. Do this, so you buy the right one with no regret, and making sure you are getting good value for money. Just because a TV is cheap for 75 inches doesn't mean it;'s good value for money.

Walk to places more, if you can walk to somewhere you really should, cheaper and good for you.

Try and sell shit you no longer use and don't plan to use again.

Never take a loan out for a car if you can, unlike houses, cars are awful at keeping value.

If you have the self-control to do so, pay for everything with credit cards with good reward structures, then pay the cards off in full every month. I get 2%-6% off everything I purchase and every non-debt bill I pay, and that's not counting sales, coupons, and the various shopping and receipt apps/sites.

just buy the cheapest JBLs.
The earbuds I currently use are JBLs, and they're legitimately great. Meh.com (a daily deal site) will have JBL and Bose stuff on sale frequently.

1, Make yourself look friendly and approachable, carry a bag filled with smaller plastic bags
2, Take a stroll around areas where people grow their own vegetables etc.
3, Admire crops and ask them how they did it and let them know that you'd love to grow your own crops if you ever get a garden.
4, Get lavished with tomatoes because people often make the mistake of growing too much and then not being able to eat or pickle it all, in the end they just want to get rid of it without throwing away their hard work.
5, Be super thankful, they will ask you to come back for when the pumpkins are ready.

The bulk meat thing is huge. I stopped buying steaks a couple years ago. Just yesterday I picked up a NY Strip loin for $70 that translated into 12 NY Strips and trimmings for taco night. That's like $6 a steak for grass-fed meat from a local farm.

And if you like your meat on the rare side the odds of a foodborne illness go way down as long as you wash your hands first.

The steaks go into vacuum sealer bags and into the freezer.

My OLD 27 year old refrigerator, the 20+ Chest freezer which by the way incredibly efficient because of how a chest freezer works via physics... My 37 year old washer and dryer are not all Energy Efficient.
My monthly electric bill (minus Gas) for August. was 88 bucks. Total cost was $105.00.

I think saving $18,500 by buying in bulk and cooking is a better incentive than saving 4 dollars and change for the increase on the electric bill.

Your mileage may vary but Chest Freezer are pretty efficient. Split doors, or bottom door freezer in their refrigerators are not as efficient as a top door freezer type of refrigerator. And that's just simple physics at work.

The other most important reason why I keep those old appliances is because I can fix them as they are all analog based.

Current modern day appliances are made to break down in a few years. Posted this video before but it is a good reason why I keep my old appliances.

Make a list of all your debt service monthly payments, i.e. loans, credit cards, store cards, that type of shit. The bills that you pay not to get services but because you owe money.

Pay the min on all of them bar the smallest. Pay as much as you feasibly can to that one each month until it's paid off. Close the account immediately after that.

Now move up the list to the one that is now the smallest. Continue paying the min on it, but now add however much you were paying towards the previous smallest one that you just paid off.

Rinse and repeat. If two amounts are much the same, choose to pay off the one with the highest interest rate first. You will both improve your indebtedness and your credit score by paying off and closing accounts.

If your bank is prepared to write you a fixed term personal loan for the amounts outstanding on all or even some of your credits cards, snap accept it and pay the cards off and close the cards. You fix the monthly payments, you lock in the interest rate by taking the loan, and by paying them off and closing them, you ensure you can't run up any more debt. You will actually be paying off the cards with your loan payment each month instead of just servicing the debt. After three, five, seven years, depending on loan term, the card debt will be legit paid off in full. You may think you are going to do that whilst keeping the cards open, buy you are really not. So consolidate. Always consolidate at the same monthly payment if you can afford to do so.

Don't open new lines of credit (at an interest rate) unless there is no other option, e.g. car finance because your car just exploded on you. If you were good at managing multiple lines of credit, you wouldn't be figuring out how to get your payments down. So just... don't.
